Yeelight Smart Light Strip with Google Home not working

Hi Guys,
I just got the Yeelight Smart Light Strip. Not sure what I've done wrong, but I can't seem to be able to add the Yeelight device to Google Home.

  • Installed the Yeelight app and it can control the on/off of the light within the app.
  • Open google home app on mobile phone => Home Control => Add device, but there is no Yeelight to choose from. Only have Honeywell, LIFX, Nest, Philips Hue, SmartThings, WeMo and Wink.

Yes, I have set the Yeelight server to Singapore.
I have installed IFTTT, but not sure if this is needed or not.

Any help would be appreciated!

    You should be able to see Yeelight actions on Google assistant…/Home control/ add devices. There are more than 50 different companies on the list, not just the seven you have mentioned.
    BTW you don’t need IFTTT as Yeelght is now supported by Google assistant.

      Worked out what the problem is.. I need to update the google app for the rest of the 50 different companies to appear on the list.
