Item Description:
The Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner is a robot vacuum that definitely disrupts the market. Many people are used to buying a Roomba, LG, Samsung or Neato robot vacuum cleaner if they want one that they know will clean well and also have good navigation skills. But the problem with these brands is that they cost so much. Well the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner does not, but don't think that makes this robot any less of a competitor. The Mi robot vacuum cleaner has actually got more suction power than the Roomba 980 and Neato Botvac Connect. It also has a more simplistic and attractive design. This device is packed full of sensors. It uses laser navigation, which is aided by many ultrasonic sensors. There are also drop sensors to keep the robot from falling down stairs. And one of the more important features is that if it does not get your whole house cleaned in one vacuuming cycle, it will return to its charging dock and go back to where it left off once it has fully charged. And it knows where its dock is, so no more robots following walls trying to stumble across their dock before their battery dies. The Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner is also controllable from your smartphone via the MI SmartHome APP. This robot can easily clean carpet, tiles, wood floors and many other surfaces, and it costs about half the price of big brand robot vacuum cleaners.

Laser Navigation
Drop Sensors
Returns to its charging dock when charging is necessary and can resume where it left off
Real-time monitoring and control from your Smartphone via the MI Smarthome APP

    Hey he’s back again
    Gl with the sales OP
Wait for another sale guys as there’s heaps that pop up on these. Save the headache and buy elsewhese.

  • +6

    I admire your determination😳

    • +3

Desperation more like it. His posting these poor "deals" on every website he can find.

  • +9

Significant issues with seller, extremely poor reputation and proven to be disingenuous with customers. No remorse, apologies or effort to take ownership of problems. This person is either a troll or completely inept, either way, not worth the chance regardless of price.

  • +3

Can't wait to head back to this post in a few hours and read the comments

  • +5

No such thing as bad publicity right…right?

Cheaper here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/327052 and based on his track record it will be delivered significantly faster and with greater integrity.

Based on his poor communication and lack of commitment to customer service his local warranty is not worth the paper it's written on.

Read all his other posts for people's negative experiences. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/roboguy.com.au

    Please ban him already!

  • +1

Its a great vacuum, I never jumped on the robodeal at the time but I did get the magnetic tape, and I did receive it. I never had a problem with robo guy.

    • +2

      Nice try Roboguy!

      • Lol,m8 I am no roboguy. Just stating the fact I ordered something else and I got it.

  • +3

Bad seller based on previous experiences linked above.

  • +3

Personally, I never had a problem with Ivan Milat but I wouldn't defend him.

  • +3

Buy from a reputable seller. RobUGuy is a proven liar. Negged

  • +3

I thought this was a joke post but apparently not.

Roboguy, I think you're just going to have to accept your reputation precedes you.
Otherwise, great product, mediocre price given the deals that have been around lately.

  • +3

Surely this 'Guy' is taking the piss, right?

Negative vote from me due to Major Issues with Retailer and not fulfilling orders.

  • Does this item now have Electrical Safety Approval for sale IN Australia?

    • +3

Doubt it. Otherwise it would be apart of the description and form a part of the marketing right?

      • Doubt it. Otherwise it would be apart of the description and form a part of the marketing right?

It would be an illegal import if it did not have Certification. The OP is saying that they have stock in Australia, and are including GST on all sales.

OP - Does this item have the required Australian Electrical Safety Approval?

  • +4

Not again. He jibbed so many people last time around and now his back? Do not buy from this kid if you value your money and time.

Also it's cheaper from other ebay sellers with stock locally.

Edit: banned once before on ozb, that says a lot!

    ROBoGUY will rob u guys!
    U and o very close

    • -8

Actually with all due respect we did not rob anyone.

      • +8

Can you please explain all the negative feedback aimed at you then? This site is generally very open to sellers, but I have never seen such negativity towards any other seller.

        • -6

If you would like a detailed explanation please email us on [email protected]

        • +7

@RoboGuy: No, I'd like you to explain in public. You talk about trust but then try and act in a devious and mysterious manner. No wonder you keep getting low votes.

        • -4

@Burnertoasty: We have explained our case many times, but in regards to your concern plainly stated customers either received their order or received a refund through PayPal or us. Thus no robing occurred. If you seek further information to what we have detailed in these posts please email or call us.

        • +5

@RoboGuy: You are not in charge here. If Member Burnertoasty seeks further information on this pertinent topic he may choose to seek it here. You joined OzBargain, we did not join something you control.

        • +4

@PJC: No point reasonining with this nut.

        • +2

          @Burnertoasty:

The kid doesn't understand the concept of time is money. U robbed everyone of time that they could have been doing other things.

        • +2

@RoboGuy: Well what about the people you robbed of priority shipping. Why not offer those people their priority shipping fee back as a good will gesture because in the end they had to wait 3+ months AND some received it after people who didn't pay for priority.

You were asked about this in the previous posts too and you just ignore it.

Are you going to ignore it this time too?

        • -6

@PJC: With all due respect Member Burnertoasty does have every right to request additional information from us, but also as a business we have every right to choose when, where, and how we disclose certain information.

        • +6

          @RoboGuy:

That's right, like when knew you hadn't secured stock and customers orders wouldn't be delivered on time. Your business exercised it's right not to tell everyone until well after you knew the information. So your business made a conscious decision when, where and how it disclosed that information which is in complete disregard to your customers interests. That's not a mistake, that's contempt for your customers.

        • +2

          @RoboGuy:

          With all due respect …

If you possessed a modicum of respect you would refund every priority shipping payment.

… as a business we have every right to choose when, where, and how we disclose certain information.

That is inappropriate because, as I stated previously, you joined OzBargain, therefore selective non-disclosure to fellow OzBargain members is obviously suspicious and counter-productive. If you harbour even one scintilla of doubt concerning that, check the voting at the top of this page.

      • +3

Ignoring a Paypal Claim after 90 Days, as Product not received, Lying to Customers. Telling us it was on its way, when it was not even on that ship. I would rather Buy from Nigeria, than Deal with this Seller again. I could go on. No more Feet

  • +3

    here we go again.

  • +3

Good product but don't buy from Robuguy..I mean Robuguy ;)

  • +3

How is this guy not banned yet?

  • +6

Negging due to major issue with vendor. Keeping hundreds of OzBargain customers waiting for news for 48 days from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4834873/redir until https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4979403/redir is particularly repugnant and OP's above description comprehensively fails to acknowledge that experience. I urge all OzBargain members and guests to avoid Roboguy.

I pride myself in speed of service as I know how frustrating it is to have to wait for something you want … Perfection will always be my goal. https://www.freelancer.com.au/u/greatwebdesigns

    • -8

      Hello PJC,

We do apologize for your bad experience with RoboGuy, however we did sent out around 7-9 email updates to all of our customers during the period after purchase and before delivery informing our customers of the delays and the reasons they occurred. This averages an email update every 11-12 days. We understand that what occurred was not acceptable but we did try out best to handle the situation in the most appropriate way.
We are glad that we were able to finally deliver to all of those customers that stayed with us, and we will never be able to repay them for their kindness and encouragement. Our business has learned a lot and we are really excited to have local stock in Australia which means our customers will not have to suffer from these delays again.

Big thanks to you OzBargainers your feedback is much appreciated and will be used to help improve our business and how it operates.

      Kindest Regards,
      The RoboGuy Team

      • +6

we did try out best to handle the situation in the most appropriate way

So you still think it was appropriate for you to deny your customers a refund, or to offer them that option knowing full well of the impending delay? You even went to the extend of lying to your customers and gave PayPal false information to try and skew PayPal's decision in your favour.

we will never be able to repay them

You can start by refunding those that paid for priority shipping.

        • -3

Actually we did not provide Paypal with incorrect details and we even rang Paypal and told them when disputes were incorrectly decided in our favour.

        • +2

          @RoboGuy:

          People opened up PayPal disputes.
PayPal asked you to provide tracking details to show you had shipped to customers.
You provided PayPal with the container ship details so PayPal would think you have shipped and not find in the the customers favour.

How is that not providing incorrect details to PayPal?

        • -1

@tomsco: We told PayPal that they were only tracking details for the container carrying the stock being sent from Hong Kong. We did not try and make PayPal think that we had shipped the goods to the customer. We even called PayPal up to dispute cases in our favor when PayPal claimed that we had delivered to customers and we had not.

        • +2

@RoboGuy: Why provide PayPal with the tracking details for the container at all?

      • +4

You were unable to perform Shipping within a standard timeframe. Therefore Priority Shipping was unavailable and did not occur. Which is why you should refund those priority shipping payments …

We … gave out a 7% discount code for their next purchase which in most cases will be more beneficial for them than a refund or store credit of the $5 itself. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4979849/redir

… instead of mocking those customers with such incongruous fatuity.

        • -2

Priority meant getting your order shipped ahead of the rest. It did not meant express courier. Thus we did follow through with this. We do understand yours and other customers opinions on this though and we did actually store credit many customers for this and in most cases the store credit was higher than the $5 itself. Also we have removed the priority option from our website as it did cause a lot of confusion amongst the customers.

        • +6

@RoboGuy: Nobody was confused. You took money from your fellow OzBargain members for priority shipping. You delivered absolutely nothing anywhere near a standard timeframe. You are keeping that money while stating …

… we are trying to run an honest, reputable and successful business. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/5108521/redir

… which is equivalent to pissing on our backs while telling us it's raining.

        • -2

@PJC: I am sorry you feel this way, but we did do our best to make sure that the customers who stayed with us were satisfied and those who were not we went the extra mile to make sure they were. But we do appreciate your concern.

        • +2

@RoboGuy: Will any of your fellow OzBargain members declare satisfaction with their priority shipping experience? You are keeping their priority shipping money, are you not? Have I got that right?

        • +9

@RoboGuy: I know from running my own business that starting up a business is hard. Mistakes, wrong turns, unexpected hurdles are inevitable

HOW YOU CHOOSE TO RESPOND to such events however is entirely up to YOU. The reason you are getting nagged is largely because you are still in denial and still cannot seem to understand or acknowledge your errors and the harm it did to others.

Taking money for priority shipping and not refunding it is simply WRONG. This is blatantly obvious to all of us. Perhaps you should stick to a 9-5 job designing websites because you don't seem to have business or people skills or common sense for that matter.

Unfortunately, I think it may be too late for you and your business. Ozbargin is a big public forum and this is now on record. I for one will neg every one of your posts until you refund this money. I suspect others will do the same. You cant hide IZAAK JACOB MARK LORENZ. Even if you register a different business, people will look up your ABN and link you with Roboguy.

  • +2

Aaaand thanks to the horribly flawed negging system, only logged in users will see this information….. Meaning all the well-crafted negs, warning people away from this retailer, are a complete waste of time and effort.

    Online 986 users 4,277 guests

    • +2

Umm no they can still see the comments. Only comments which have a lot of negs they can't see.

      • +2

they can't even see the post, never mind the comments…..
It is automatically removed by the neg votes

If there are more negative votes than positive, the deal is hidden on new deals page & categories page for visitors and users with default settings.

        • +1

Haha well at least the original thread will still be visible to them ^^

  • +8

Lol seriously? First day out of a posting ban yet you persist?

Have a neg for just being plain dodgy and lying to customers.

    Dont come back.

    • -3

We are sorry you feel this way, but we are trying to run an honest, reputable and successful business. Thank you for sharing your feedback and enjoy the rest of your day.

      • +2

        "Trying"

        Ah huh.

Is your business model based around "if at first you don't succeed, try try again?"

        • -2

All businesses will make mistakes and have their hardships, so we are just overcoming those issues and moving forward and hopefully will not experience the same problems again and if we do we will handle them better.

        • +4

          @RoboGuy:

Your feedback here speaks for itself. You're not going to be able to turn that around overnight.

You realise the next posting ban is more than a month right? I guess not, based on the fact you just decided to post this.

        • +1

@RoboGuy: Don't forget to prioritise priority shipping, you know, so you can do better.

        • @BaryGusey: priority shipping no longer exists because of the confusion it caused but thank you for the advice and all of our orders are dispatched as fast as possible.

      • +5

From all the negativity associated with your activities here, your reputation is shot to shit.

      • +2

we are trying to run an honest, reputable and successful business.

Honest? Remember your deleted photo gallery of that week in Hong Kong which omitted all travel documents for no adequately explored reason? Why must a customer who has paid need a contract to inspect his goods? Why would a company with 502,612,770,356,572 orders to its name (more than all the hairs on the heads of Mankind) still not use a company letterhead for its contracts?

  • How much to ship to NZ?

    • You can find this on our website but it is around $50-$80 depending on what you order.

    • +3

Dont bother seriously unless you want one of the worst buying experiences of your life. Its called getting robof#@ked.

  • +2

Here is a question. What would roboguy have to do to improve his reputation and be welcome here? Or its all over…

    • +2

Disappear for a while, reply to annoyed customers in previous posts.

But I'm sure they'll stick around and keep spamming crap

    • +4

Finish his studies and get a 9-5. Running a business is not in his best interest.

    • +5

      All over.

    • +4

Sell these vacuums at $250 a pop.

  • +3

Get new identity, change business name and location. Offer bargain prices rather than highest price matching what he thinks he can get away with. Then follow through on promises under the new identity.

    • +6

Ozbargainers will still probably find out it’s isaak, relate the new business to robuguy and neg everything that he posts.

  • +8

But wait, do you offer priority shipping ? I want one of these in a real hurry, I need it by xmas.

    • Well if you ordered now you would receive your order late this week or early next week depending on your location. :)

    • +9

Be reasonable. Specify which Christmas. Mother's Day was only last month.

  • +2

Do you have any version 2 yet?
Nobody wants these old mark one editions anymore..

    • None in stock in Australia but as of next month we can bring them in. The original Xiaomi Mi Robot is still a very good vacuum and is by no means outdated.

      • +2

"As of next month we can bring them in"

        Why bother??

        Hahaha….😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • +5
    • -6

Funny, cheapest shipping option is over $55 to Australia.

      • +6

Funny, this one is AU$339.00 Free Shipping … https://shopmonk.com.au/xiaomi-robot-vacuum-shop?color=125 (credit to Member SimBech https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/5110446/redir) … feel free to price-match.

        • -6

Have to admit, very good deal. However, they probably do not provide you with a dedicated Australian Power Plug or a 1 Year Australian Warranty.

        • @RoboGuy:

Has anyone reported this business for selling electrical goods that are not certified as safe for sale or supply in Australia?

      • RoboGuy,
At least he will Get it from Geekbuying

        • -1

If he placed an order with us he would receive it as well and a lot faster than Geekbuying as our stock is in Australia.

        • +1

@RoboGuy: You certainly don't have a good history of people receiving their stories in a timely manned XD

  • +4

Hello Roboscammer. Where have you been? What scam have you got for us this time around?

Gosh I missed all of your BS stories, the complete rip offs, the lack of any apology or humility. Only you guys can develop such a toxic reputation!!! I totally missed handing out all my negs to you !!!

Anyway, since you are back here is is neg from me to say welcome and piss off.

    • We are sorry you feel that way, but thank you anyway for the vote.

  • +4

Roboguy. You are like an eager puppy whenever you start a listing. You will happily respond to questions and any negativity from the older dogs washes straight over your head.
However you will soon lose interest and abandon this thread. Man up and follow something through to the end.
This ship has sailed though and it would be great if you could disappear without a trace.

    • We did follow this through to the end and all of the customers who stayed with us received their orders.

  • +2

Roboscam - why is your site flagged as a scam website?? A trust score of 10%??

    https://www.scamadviser.com/is-roboguy.com.au-a-fake-site.ht…

  • +3

I just logged in to say this guy scammed me too. Do not buy from him, hoping that you'll get money back from PayPal if they don't deliver, because I can tell you, PayPal will give lots of grief before taking the customer's side

    • +3

Where is your neg vote? Please vote. As you may know, when a store gets lots of neg votes, they get banned from Ozbargin.

  • +3

So who else here just for comments? Lol

    • +3

Be honest, who on earth is going to be here because they want to purchase from this guy?

      I bought mine elsewhere :)

  • +3

No thanks! One of the most infamous sellers on Ozbargin for all the wrong reasons.

    Too many negatives to list

OP - Please take your business else ware until you learn how to treat your customers properly.

  • -1

Is anyone's issue not yet resolved by this seller? If none, I think people are just being too harsh to this guy. If he is a kid, and just learning the ropes of business, it won't make harm if you give him a 2nd chance. If you don't want to biy from him, the don't. Just don't spam all his posts and ruin his business! Just my 2 cents! 🙏

    • +2

it won't make harm if you give him a 2nd chance

      You're funny!

Have you ever considered being a Comedian?

  • +4

Significant issues with seller, extremely poor reputation and proven to be disingenuous with customers. No remorse, apologies or effort to take ownership of problems. This person is either a troll or completely inept, either way, not worth the chance regardless of price.
