Have bought 2 Turkish towels this year and they are brilliant when you don't have much space. Both are luxury cotton and both boast less than $15 each. This deal is far from a bargain.

@PJC: GSM is not the standard measurement in general for traditional Turkish towels. Total weight of the product is ~275gram. GSM is beneficial to compare fluffy towels.
Bought 4 towels from this co. last time they were on Ozbargain. Certainly they are very well made, lightweight and quick drying but those very qualities have a drawback.
IMHO they are not "very absorbent", the thin (note NOT flimsy) fabric simply can't absorb substantial amounts of water when towelling yourself. You need to "work" the towel, moving it in your hands to bunch it and shift it around so you are in contact with an as yet unused portion. Even then you still don't feel really "dry". The kids said they don't like them at all.
IMHO they are "quality" but not "practical to use".
It's like any towel, once you've washed it a few times it starts to become more absorbent.
