Not sure about RMB, but from my previous experience, as far as I can tell, Australia has pretty terrible exchange rate. It might be better for you to just bring AUD, and sell them in China Airport for RMB.
Maybe meet up with Chinese OZ Members and exchange at XE rate. You both win out. Do it outside a police station if you feel nervous… and hold their child hostage with a third party until you can verify that the currency are legit once in China
Buy some S26 here (AUD) and take with you.
Sell over there with about 500% profit, collect RMB.
