Sometimes, the web site allows in store pickup and it will show instore price. That's why I asked if the info came from a catalogue. Sometimes, some deals are state based - although I'm not sure about Big W.

How long have you had it?
I agree it worked well for 12mths or so, but the battery in mine is kind of crappy now. It no longer even really operates without being plugged in, and even it is now sluggish.
With infrequent use, not at all what would be expected from a lithium battery.
This unit is awesome but I am also noticing it is running a bit sluggish and I've only had it for 8 or so months. Would almost be tempted to buy another one at this price. Fortunately it only takes all of 2 minutes to run over your head.

Same here.. It's an absolutely great unit, but the battery longevity is rubbish. Mine stopped working at all on battery about 6 months in (using while plugged in was fine, although annoying).
Well within the warranty so I took it back and got a replacement one from Harvey Norman where I bought it.Ok maybe I got ahead of myself then! Its been about 4 months since I had and I ve used it less than 5 times. But to be honest if it works as a corded trimmer that's fine for my purposes.
I brought one of these about a month a go. Awesome hair clippers, especially for those of us who have given up the fight against hair loss and have gone the crew cut! so much easier than a corded model, and the wide clipping blade is great.
Can this unit be charged with a usb cable???
I agree with the others. Great clippers. Wide blade makes it nice and quick to get the sides of the head short to match the middle haha.
These are fantastic! Hubby uses them to give our 2 year old son a haircut too.

Yep.. They're a weird shape to match the blade, but the same thing (with numbering/length in mm written on them).
These are great. I use it in the shower every couple of weeks to keep my bald pate bald.

Great clippers. I've been using mine for 18 months, twice a week, and recharging after every second cut. I haven't noticed any battery issues yet.
My biggest problem with them is that they are 240V only. So I haven't been able to take them with me on my trips to the US and Japan. Return to Australia looking a bit feral.
Checked a couple stores around Adelaide which are out of stock (Elizabeth and TTP) but sales tickets on the shelf still show full price. No 50% off signs.

As corded clippers very good and they are still good value compared to others due to the wide blade. 4 stars out of 5Spoke to a manager at seaford big w in sa and they told me that the queen victoria store received 1 or 2k or surplus stock so they are the only one that have the sale, but they have been told to not offer a price match for them. Though they price matched mine as I was told to come down to the store on the phone and they didn't want to waste me time :)
I was refused a price match in Bid W Waverley Gardens VIC. They confirmed that Big W QV VIC 50% off was an area manager's special, specific only to specific stores and would not price match. Alas, I picked one up from Big W QV on my way to the airport to pick up a friend. Heaps in stock.
