These are the Vietnamese ones and even my local Safeway has started selling them !!!!

Don't they make them locally any more ???? I'm going to have to switch lollipops if all i can get is these imported ones…

    • serious question: do they taste any different or are you just trying to buy local?

      • Depends on your taste buds, I guess.
Some people may not be able to perceive any difference. Some does.

Best to try one yourself, and see if you think it taste different. Who knows, you might prefer the imported version.

OP needs to fix title its "Chupa chups" not as spelt in title.

Chupa Chups is the local version. Chuba Chups is the imported version, from Bietnam maybe. j/k :)

    • fixed up.

  • The last batch I bought didn't contain a single watermelon ChupaChup.

This time, reading more carefully, I see buyers will receive "Assorted flavours: strawberry cream, strawberry, cola, orange, watermelon - please note you may not receive equal quantities of each flavour in a pack".

Given they then go on to describe the nutritional value for the first four flavours, and watermelon is excluded from the table, I'm guessing this means there's no watermelons this time around either.

Update now I've received the parcel and checked the flavours. It contains strawberry cream x 19, strawberry x 19, cola x 3, orange x 7, and watermelon x 13. Total = 61 (yay, that makes them even cheaper per unit).

    Re: Vietnamese Imports

I have been eating the Vietnamese ones recently, and then I went and bought 1 regular (ozzie??) one the other day, it did not taste anywhere near as good as the Vietnamese one, of the same flavour.

The Vietnamese one is a more sour than the ozzie one, which I guess I like better. Just depends on what you prefer I think.

    • I prefer the sour one's too (but always forget which one is which), sounds like Vietnamese imports it is.

    • i've found that the imports are pretty much the same except not as sweet as the regular ones which sucks.

starting to get sick of lollipops, ordered too many from these guys and COTD. they should focus on ordering cheaper chocolate rather than candy, i bet everyone loves chocolate much more

  • miss the 100 for $5 with free shipping deal I got long time ago, I am running out of that pack. With current strong oz dollar, they should be able to do it again.

  • These have everything except the only flavour I care about: Cherry.
Also, I can get them for $10 at the local reject food store, so unless your buying a few its not good.

  • 100 for $5? $10 at local reject store?

I'm feeling cornered, so I'll play the "this is my first post" card. Just wanted to pop my cherry, but I'll raise my game.

  • These are $10 at Kmart all the time.

I also like the pyramidal display ones better.

  • What a shit deal. These vietnamese ones cost nothing to make and are sold in my local shopping centre at a little store selling fake diesel socks and tshirts, perfumes/makeups and it is only $5 for 60 of them no shipping fee.

This would be good deal IF it was the local made australian ones and shipping was a bit cheaper.

    • Sure, conveniently avoid the cost of petrol/transport to goto the store in question and the time cost of having to drive there and back and that's just assuming that everyone on here has a little store nearby… good one mate.

  • 60 for $5 sounds like a great deal…… (methinks a new post should be made)
