I don't believe so - you can preload it now if you don't have the original game. The beta runs from 8pm AEST on Thurs, Sep 21 until 8pm on Mon, Sep 25.
It is a game mode that is being released to accompany the base game, quite sure you need it.
Beta is separate. After the beta, the base game will be updated to include it.
@Stix: Fair fair, didn't think Ubi would drop this as a separate beta! I fell off this game some time ago, a lot of promise but no substance..
I thought the beta was an update as well so needed to confirm. I think a lot of people left the game a while ago (including myself) as PvP had taken too long to arrive. I'll take a look though - it might win me back! :)
@Stix: I really hope it brings the player base back as well! Was a solid game! Weirdly enough I'm being attracted back in to The Division! Have you seen their new free update?
@Stix: I liked a lot about GR: Wildlands, in fact I have been following that game hard ever since it was properly revealed at E3 2015. For me though, I was attracted to the PVP aspect of being able to take other people's gear in the Dark Zone and finding common, uncommon, rare, legendary and epic pieces of gear and weapons. This is why I'm so intrigued by Anthem as well, but cautious.. Bioware and EA :$
:) Anthem will hopefully be good. I found Destiny and Div too much of a grind - but going rogue in Dark Zone was fun.
Been bouncing between Siege, The Division and a little bit of GRW. I like how the UBI new code release cycles are just a little bit off from each other so you can have fun in some new expansions for a. It before the next game expansion arrives to attract your attention.
That being said, I have scored a free copy of Destiny 2 from my 1080TI graphics card purchase so will try that out soon as well.
@danielh: I must say, I played the living hell out of the Division and Siege (even when it first launched! bugs and all!) but now I am quite enjoying Destiny 2. I didn't play too much of the first due to not having many friends on the same console, but damn, I must say I am having quite a lot of fun!
@ThePriceMatchGuy: Hang on. I can play Destiny 2 now? Damn, better log in and see. :-)
EDIT: I have to wait until 24 Oct 2017. I assume it is because I have PC version.
