What are good gym shoes? around $100-150 mark? I run for 8 mins on the treadmill and then lift weights.
Was planning to go for flat soles for weight training, but then i do a bit of cardio too, so I'm confused.

its 8 min of HIIT (6mph-2min and 14mph-1min)
kmh and alternating ofc*
I do more cardio than you and I'm perfectly happy with my no brand runners from BigW, cost $15.
YMMV. I normally run 7-10k. Tried on a pair of $20 Fila from Costco earlier this year, and couldn't run more than 5k due to knee pain. Took me a couple of months to recover, and now my budget is back at around $60/pair.
I have a pair of those! I use solely for indoor workouts and I am not a big fan of them :(
For only 8 minutes of cardio you don't need to worry much about getting super suitable shoes. Just get anything which is comfy
Nike free has always been great for running for me, always grabbed them from the iconic for like $70 with discount code.
Get flat shoes.
Then use the cycles, recumbrant cycles, stair climber, cross trainer or rowing machine since these won't involve running on concrete.
Thanks these seem decent, gonna wait for an offer now
Weight lifitng shoes = not a running shoe.
Nothing which has heel support etc. No nikes/adidas/newbalance etc etc.
My favourite lifting attire in order
barefoot (though most gyms do not allow this) -> merrels/vibrams (the barefoot style shoe, sometimes they can be bought on sale) -> any flat sole converse sneaker rip off.
I enjoy the merrels shoes as they have a few thin and flexible sole. They also have 0 or an inverse heal which helps with flexibility.
^this, I have also seen some guys use separate shoes for running and weight lifting although they are running much more like at least 5-6ks. I personally use shoes similar to vibrams five fingers shoes although i dont do cardio on treadmill but use cross trainers or bikes. Also Deadlift slippers like theseare worth a look
Any shoes made for running is fine. Doesn't have to be too expensive but generally you get what you pay for. Can't go wrong with a cheap Nike or Adidas. Don't really need weight lifting shoes unless you're a serious power lifter or like to do proper squats.
8 mins worth of cardio isnt really "a bit" unless youre doing extra on top of that (like a lot more)
