Good ALDI Products That Have Gone Bad

I have always been a strong advocate of ALDI and many of its products. However, as everyone who is a fan of ALDI would have noticed, every few years, the supplier changes and the therefore the product changes. Sometimes it's for the better (with a price reduction) and other times, it's not.

Recently, I've noticed that my kid's favourite tempura chicken nuggets have changed. Initially it noted that only the packaging had changed, but now, the product has too and my kids won't eat it. Same goes with the recent chorizo change.

So my question is, what ALDI product have you loved and now hate?

    on that note, Coles toilet paper is now $8.50 but it's not the same toilet paper. my bum feels the difference.

    OJ. New one is undrinkable, so so acidic and bitter.

      I only buy OJ in summer - is it the 3L or 2L carton one?

        The 2L plastic bottle. Used to be Orchard? Or something similar? But the name changed with the taste.

      Their premium only oranges one with pulp is still the best around.

      The little jars near the pasta section? The green I find is fine but the red is not as good.

    Not food, but the teppanyaki grill plate was awesome a few years ago. I bought it and loved it. I raved about it. It was relatively cheap and when it came back on sale I bought two more. These were much thinner, far less useful than the original. The original one has now gotten pretty much too scratched to be useful, and the newer ones are too thin and prone to flash fires. It seems that the first incarnation of a product can be absolutely wonderful, and then they try to cut corners for the next one, until it's no longer worth buying.

    The jam is disgusting. Jellied sugar water. Doesn't taste of fruit at all and has a nasty chemically taste.

    I regularly bought their eye fillet which was vacuum sealed. On my recent visits to Aldi stores i havent been able to find the vacuum sealed ones and have bought the eye fillets now in plastic containers. On both occasions I tried the steaks they have been pretty horrible…it was chewy and pretty inedible. I have never though eye fillet could taste so crap.

    Eggs. I bought some two years ago and now they seem to have gone bad.
