      Button does brightness while the app does more. Can also integrate it with other Xiaomi smart home products.

    Have this from Gearbest few months ago. Its good for what it is but I can't use it thru google home. Really good price for this. Paid 65 or so for it
    Yeah you can control bit more thru app, there is a delay off thru the app and a few eyecare functions. Wish I could use it thru my google home tho.

    They are worst for customer service. You can compare them with TinyDeal. My last order arrived after 65+ days. I lodged complaint but after first response there was no response at all. I would never suggest anyone to use zapals.

    I have one of these. I like the lamp but am unable to connect it to Mi Home with my home router.

    The only way I can get this working is if I tether mobile internet from a phone.

        Yes.

        The problem with these Xiaomi smart devices is there's a 4 way handshake that has to go on between the device, your phone, your router, and the cloud server in China. That's many points of potential failure.

        I'm able to connect to the Wifi Repeater 2 successfully, but not the Eyecare. I needed to change wifi security from WPA+WPA2+PSK to just WPA2. Without making that change, I wasn't able to connect Mi Home to Wifi Repeater 2. However, even this wasn't enough to connect to the eyecare.

        I just use the buttons. I don't require the more advanced options in the app. But the annoying thing is the LED blinks constantly if it's not connected to Mi Home. Even when the lamp is off. So in a dark room, you can see the room light up blue constantly.

        The lamp itself is very bright and I'm happy with. I wish I could disable its connectivity completely though, to get rid of the LED blinking.
