Looking for advice on how to get the best fare for an employee I have to send to Washington Business Class next month? Been looking on Skyscanner, cheapoair and iwantthatflight etc but wondered if there were any inside tricks?

I have a couple of hundred thou but I dont want to use my personal points to fly an employee overseas for a work trip. on the other hand if there is a way my business can pay for the trip but I can personally get the points I am all for it!
You could always use your personal amex card or something to book the ticket for the card points (that are transferable). You can claim the cost back as a tax deduction (assuming it's your own business) as a business expense.
I don't know of any possible way to get the frequent flyer points if you're not the actual person traveling. Unless your employee offers to transfer the accrued points to you afterwards. Keep in mind you'll look pretty dodge if you just go up and ask your employee to do the transfer!
Dont need to claim anything back as a tax deduction, the trip is part of a project we are working on. Trip is a clear business expense, will be included on the books as such and the business will pay. Contrary to what many believe though my business would prefer to get the best deal available.
What about qantas business rewards and then transfer to your account?
Next month there'll be a thread "my boss sent me to Washington but claims I don't get the FF points??" Lol
why business class? eco is good enough
Many businesses have a policy if the flight is over 10 hours employees need to go business class.
I'd book as one booking to Washington so I reckon Qantas is your best option.
Guy we are sending has done a great job for us and it is kind of a reward to a great worker. The trip is totally legitimate there is work to be done over there but we are only a small company and I'm not going to nickel and dime my best worker over a couple of thousand bucks. He is also going to take some leave when he is over there. Also, as an OzBargainer I am pretty sure I will eventually find a discounted Business class seat for not much more than full price economy!
i booked europe business on etihad for 5k each.
code share with KLM.I hope your employee is reading this.
Have you got any Frequent Flyer points? If yes, would you be allowed to use them for a work trip like that?
