Currently unable to make calls and sometimes the screen does not unlock so its time for a new phone, have loved using the samsung ever since I got rid of my old iphone. Wondering if there is a similar phone I could grab for no more than $400? Mainly use my phone just to message, work calls, watch videos, and tinder. Have seen the iphone SE deal going on but would prefer to stick with a samsung and I would rather have a larger screen size.

I had a s5. I was underwhelmed after my s3, as the s5 didn't seem like a big step up. I bought the s7 edge 3 months ago and it is great, abig step up from the s5 in my mind. battery life, charge rate, screen, speed, camera all significantly better. I don't think you will be disappointed. I also checked out the s8 reviews and they were not much better than the s7 edge so the s7/edge seems to be the sweet spot for price/features.
Only major difference is the lack of replaceable battery but the new battery is much better and it charges much quicker as well.
The S7 is going for like $600+ if my google search is correct. Thinking about just getting another s5 for $320 to be honest..
