As some of you may know, Maccas is having their monopoly promotion again where you get ticket things for buying their food/drinks.
The cheapest way for you to collect them fast is through buying large cups of iced water!
The cup is the same as a soft drink cup so you get 2 tickets, but only pay 30c!
That works out to be 15c a ticket and that's worth with 1/5 chance of winning instantly.
So hydrate yourself and win big folks!

I personally tried to sell some cards on gumtree, found out there's a lotta scammers out there.
This is what normally happens. Same as $1 frozen coke.
Water is always given in a non-promo cup.*

I tried this at 3 different maccas and got them in the paper cup same as softies
I got water yesterday and they gave it to me a non-promo paper cup. I guess it varies between Maccas.
I'm in SA if that makes a difference I guess?
I've never had to pay 30 cents for a cup of water at McDonald's.

yeah i wanted to buy but the HOT chick there said no i can give you COLD water for free.
Doesn't work at Burwood Westfield. Staff told me they only give ice water in small cups.
Bought a large frozen coke the other day and they gave it to me in a large drink cup… with the monopoly tabs peeled off!!

Usually they give you the cup but take the promo tickets off
I have had them do this, just ripped off promo tickets from cup, when handing out the water.. But that would mean they get to keep the tickets, so maybe a bit of a sneaky way for them to go home with a stack of tickets, since logically, they would not just throw them in rubish, without checking at least for instant win of car or another good prize

And where does one order 300 cups from? The distributor?
Unlikely they would sell to common folk without a Maccas franchise.
Surely someone has thought of this/prevented it from being allowed.
At the counter of your local McDondalds… I have never placed an order at the McDonalds distributor for my food, it seems an odd thing to do.

He said "order 300 cups", no mention of water or food.
Since the front counter would never sell you 300 cups on their own, let alone put water in all of them, I found that suggestion odd and a sarcastic comment was made.
I apologise for not making that more clear and causing unnecessary confusion.

Good idea, just does not always work. Depends who is working at maccas at the time, depends what mood they're in etc.
I find they are more likely to be more lenient with official regulations, if you ask them nicely, when no other customers are around. That way, if they do something nice for you, they dont get caught out and have other customers potentially saying "well you did xxx for him, you have to do it for me every time now" . Which could then lead them to getting in trouble with boss etc later on.
So I suggest ask nicely, when its quiet and not much customers around. Cant hurt to ask . Even if you explain to them "I would really like to play the monopoly please, could I please get it in the monopoly type cup" .
Another 'hack' you may want to try, regarding redeeming free food items, make good eye contact with person serving you, show them the free food thing, then dont actually click the redeem feature 😆 . It worked for me the other day, and similar 'hack' works with many other things also . You just act like everything is all going smoothly etc, and chance are, if you dont act suspiciously, then they wont suspect 😉 . And maybe they notice you didnt quite press the redeem in right spot, and they ask to check it, or ask you to click it again, or maybe not, and you can keep using that free meal thing on the app a few more times lol.

I showed them app with food items lined up (including item to 'redeem') . Said, i have this on the app, theyd said "i just need you to click on that and click redeem" . I clicked item, clicked redeem (in front of them) … then at next screen . Clicked CANCEL 😉
I got two on a $1 frozen Coke, and got an instant win!
Unless like most maccas… they give you the water in the clear frappe cups
