Hi, I see a LOT of bargains here for smart lights. I'm not keen on these because they will stop working if the kids switch them off at the light switch. Also I'm not super keen on pulling out my phone to turn the lights on/off. So I'm looking at smart switches to work with the Google home. I was looking at the sonoff on banggood. Does anyone know if these work ok with Google home?
I was looking at their light switch and also wifi relay to open the door for the chook shed.

If you use something like Home Assistant, you can tied the lights, switches, etc. in with something like Alexa or google home. Then you can not only talk to them, or use a phone screen, you can also automate them.
Mind, there might be issues with google's forced update of home/assistant that is due to happen - people don't know yet since they don't know what google are playing with.
Oh, and smart bulbs tend to be better because of things like RGB lights, fading dimmers, etc. - switches can be very binary.
