iPod touch killer ?

hey

is there a ipod touch killer out there ?

Not familiar with new Android stuff but does it come close ?

Main use i make with my current touch (looking to upgrade to 4th gen) in order of preference:

1) surf net on go via Wifi
2) access to all those apps (mainly the free ones)
3) Podcasts

Is there anything out there cheaper than touch that I should consider ?

Also when is the so called touch table pc flood supposed to start as I heard there were going to a whole heap of iPad killers coming out very soon ?

not yet available, but the Samsung Galaxy Touch (I know, Samsung should probably name it differently).

Um…if you really into mp3 players and pretty audiophillic, you might have heard of COWON. They are releasing an android based mp3 purpose player soon~~

Other than that - you might as well get the ipod touch while its still new. Look for those package/combo things which retail for the ipod's RRP but comes with bonuses like docks, itunes cards etc.

There is one. I'll find the name when I'm awake. Consider $300 android smartphones too- there's at least 4 brands.
