This is an awesome TV, the OLED technology is second to none. I bought one from HN about a month ago for $5100 including wall mount, delivery and installation. No regrets and this price is awesome!

if anyone has any questions about the TV, I'm happy to help.

    • Do you need HD FOXTEL connection for best viewing? Or normal FOXTEL works good?

      • Sorry, I don't use FOXTEL.

But, I can advise that the upscaler in the TV is really good and even 720p stuff looks extremely crisp (albeit slightly less crisp than 1080p or 4k)

    • How does it compare to Lg C7?

      • I agree that Panasonic's OLED technology is second to none. Highly recommended.

I think the LG has slightly better software and supports Dolby HDR if you care about that. Panasonic supports the more open standard of HDR10. I don't regret my purchase and the LG is/was way more expensive.

Oh, and Youtube, Netflix and Google casting is all built in so no need for a Chromecast which is great.

  • This or the LG - 65" OLED C7?

  • I think this is a review for this Panasonic OLED, note that this review would apply to UK models but largely they'd be the same I'd imagine. https://www.avforums.com/review/panasonic-tx-55ez952b-uhd-4k…

I think the the models are comparative, however note that the stands are different so might be best if you're considering this to contact Panasonic or confirm.

  • I want the LG for around this price.

Mainly want the LG because I know it plays nicely with the OSSC line modes. I'm not sure the Panny does. My VT60 doesn't

    • What are OSSC line modes?

      • It's pretty niche. OSSC is Open Source Scan Converter. It's a device used mainly for running old gaming consoles using RGB on modern screens :)
It'll take component and VGA as well.

It can take a 240p and 480p signals and double, triple it, etc giving, strange out of spec resolutions like 960p.

Many TVs won't handle it, but the LG does.

        • Interesting. The Panasonic still uses LG panels so whether that means it'll be similar/slightly better/worse I'm not sure.

  • Seen this at JB and Hardly Norman great tv
the EZ1000 is even better very costly though

Panasonic OLEDs have better processing and more accurate colours than LG.

Really their only downside is they are missing Dolby Vision support.

Still have HDR10 and thats what most content uses.

  • Shame they've unlisted the DMP-UB400GNK 4K UHD Blu-Ray player on their eBay otherwise it could've been gotten for virtually free!

same transaction is required, ignore my comment.

is there anything stopping you from getting it from https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/panasonic-4k-uhd-bluray-playe… with the code 4k20 to get 20% off which would end up getting you the thing for 400 and a cash back of 400?

or does it have to be in the same transaction?
