Is it worth such a premium ($150?) just to have a grill element? Most people have a grill in their kitchen.
Yes
Why?
Basically a second oven, very convenient.
Why do you need a second oven? A small one at that? You would have to use it a heck of a lot to cover its cost if you are considering its lower electricity costs.
@tightwad: Some people have four ovens?
If you are space limited, they are great. More than one person in my house, and sometimes we even entertain friends. Mine can fit a pizza etc.
@tightwad: Why would you expect everyone to have the exact same needs as yours?
Dear me. I only asked a question.
@tightwad: No. You asked 3.
303.20 at Myer site. Cheaper with anniversary codes.
I see $359.20, how does it become $303.20?
We recently bought the lower end Breville BMO300 after our old one died . Lasted about 10 years and still looked like new .
No faded or discoloured plastic so we bought exactly the same model . Was really surprised to see the same model still being sold .
FYI the magnetron? went on it and was starting to make crackling sounds . It was less than $200 and super simple to operate .
Crispy!
What size is t?
I bought this microwave a few months back when it was $250 from Myer.
The grill part is great for reheating pizza, pastries etc without going soggy.
I had the maxwell & williams square dinner set, and the plates didn't turn in this unit, so I had to buy smaller plates, lol.
As it's an inverter, the fan does run for ~1min after it's finished heating/cooking.
The best way to reheat pizza is in a cold pan with a lid on the stovetop (if it's hot to start it will burn)
Base crisps the lid steams the toppings and it's almost like fresh.
How well does this toast/bake pre-made waffles?
i have the mic only version. Best. Mic. Ever.
Reading the manual for this, I'm still not sure how easy this task is:
10 seconds on high.
That's a couple of button presses on my current microwave. How many presses/turns is it on this one? I do this twice a day, so I'd like to know if it is easy/possible
1 turn & 1 press…. BUT… there is a 'favourite' button that you can set for your most common time/temp.

The RRP doesn't mean much when you can buy it cheaper in general. No one would pay the RRP…
