Hey guys, just wondering if this laptop is good for light stuff such as browsing, office , youtube. Also can this notebook handle some small games if your playing miniclip (don't play miniclip but would wanna know if it can handle it)

It sounds like a bargain at only $222 at Aldi.

  • I've got an older atom (Z3775) in an Asus T100 10.1" that can handle that, along with some light gaming. (think FTL, Rimworld, Diablo 2, CS:GO on minimum if you use an external drive.)
You'd be surprised how far you can push it. (Although, heat and throttling becomes an issue if it's used in a fanless configuration.)

    • Wow. So it can handle steam alright?

This seems like a good laptop to hold me off until I get a beefier system.

Can you test out dota and heroes of the storm for me. What's the best settings it can do?

It's rated up to 40 degrees when turned off. It can't handle steam. I assume it has moisture sensors too.

Agree with Fruit, I would avoid steam. A good rule for most electronics.

        • Damn was really hoping to boil things up. Guess I'll have to try blizzard. I wonder how it does on the cooler side.

  • If you're happy with 14" I'd be more inclined to get a second hand Lenovo. Multitasking in Windows with that processor is a painful experience. That little storage will also be frustrating.
