          Meh.

Thanks OP got a couple. Over 30 available at Woolworths Kellyville NSW 2155 store at 7:15 am 7 Sep.

  • +3

I upvoted if it's unavailable. True OzBargain spirit.
Edit: I love it, front page for a sale that doesn't exist.

  • Works for me

Good price although the Amazon review suggest a large number of early failures with this model

  • Pick up in store has $30 minimum order. Delivery has $50. Might have to drop into a store to get one.

    • +6

That's not how it is done. You order 3 and return 2.

I picked two from my local store today - still many there - Rouse Hill.

The physical design is wrong. If you use the retaining loop and a bit goes missing, you get to keep the cap, but lose the electronics. Samsung and Sandisk got it around the right way.

    • yep, looks like their dumping these, the whole range was on sale from $5(16Gb USB3) at my local…

lol, people who bought this also bought watermelon. I'm sure there is a connection there.

    • Not just watermelon but red seedless watermelon.

  • Someone mentioned these to me for $20 a piece last week and I grabbed one for the car.. $20 is still a decent price, but still annoyed.

Not sure how relevant this is, but there were at least 4x more in Wynyard, TAS last weekend.

    • Also do need to note these are really easy to lose, accidentally left mine (never used) in my back pocket of my jeans and it survived overnight in the washing machine (after drying it with a hair dryer for 2 mins) (forgot to put it out, it really wasn't my day)

Killer price at $10 a pop. Will see if there are any around Hoppers Crossing area tomorrow

  • Thanks OP

  • They were $12 yesterday at my nearby Woolies as I was browsing the store which seemed a good price already but all the 32GB for both S45 and S50 (the OTG combo one) were all cleared out :( . Only 16GB ones were left.

Just bought 6 from woolworths townhall. Plenty left. About 20 or so. It's at the top floor.

    Guys! Read the Amazon reviews:
These drives seem to have a very high failure rate after a few months.
Good price and thanks to the OP but I won't be buying one as I don't want a random failure.
Yes, they are cheap but your data?

just read the Amazon reviews, it's 128GB drives. For 32GB ones, same quality? Not sure, anyone, please?

      • +1

Well the write speed is different (slower) on the 16 and 32GB drives but the same on the 64 and 128s so that could indicate a different controller but we don't know the actual cause of the failures.
Personally I would spend a little more on a Samsung Fit.

I've got the 16gb version. They aren't really designed to be removed, physically tiny. The case sucks, you lose the device and the case stays on your keyring. They have a fairly bright flashing blue light during data access, so its annoying in a dark room. And lastly, they seem a but slow compared to my other usb 3 stuff.

    But, you know, 10 bucks… ;)

About a dozen left at Sydney Town Hall plus some other discounted storage cards https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/77509/52004/20170907_0…

The 16GB version appears to be priced marginally higher!?

  • 2 left at Hornsby

    • None at 9pm. ;(

  • None at Camberwell :(

  • Just got the last one from Hoppers Crossing Woolie's. They had 16GB ones and also S50 32GB ones for $12 at 40% off - that's still pretty decent.

  • bought 3 from Baulkham Hills, seems to be quite a few left.

  • Ordered online from Gordon NSW

All gone at town hall, balls

  • Picked up 2 in Cairns CBD, about 10 left as well as other types discounted.

  • None left at Rundle Mall SA (got the last one this morning). Had half a dozen 16GB ones for $10 though. Another tiny USB to add to the collection, and to probably lose the first time I use it.

Does suck that the lanyard loop is on the cap and not the USB bit itself, but for the price, meh!

Hurstville has 10 x 32gb if you're quick and bucket loads of 16gb

  • +2

There are lots left in Hurstville. I picked up 2, and there was another 10-15 left. They still have the full price of $20 on the ticket (hence probably why no one was buying them), but they scan as $10.

  • Thanks OP, grabbed the last two at Mawson Lakes, SA. Still plenty of 16GB ones left.

  • None at Robina Town Centre Woolies
Looks like the staff may have been thru and ravaged all of their Lexar stock ORRR it was Brodened

  • 2 left at Playford / Munno Para SA store.

  • Picked up last one at Woolgoolga NSW. They had a bunch of the 16gb for a couple of dollars more and the USB2 32 gb bulkier one for about $12.

Write speeds started out at about 30ish MB/s but then quickly dropped to about 16MB/s after around 500mb of transfer. Not sure if that is temp related or just some faster memory at the start of the storage. Doesn't seem to be too warm after filling it up.

  • picked up two yesterday at Woolies Sugarland, still had plenty left.

  • Strathpine QLD seems to be out of 32G.
Eatons Hill QLD doesn't even have a space for 32G, but the 16G ones are $10.20. They've been this price for a month or two now.
Albany Creek QLD has about 25x 32G left, after I took mine. They also have 16G at $10.20 and the 16G USB2/OTG dual connector sticks for $10.
