100% Australian honey 1kg tub
Hopefully not the bad ones like allowrie mixed blossom
100% Australian honey 1kg tub
Hopefully not the bad ones like allowrie mixed blossom
Probably the flowers the land is on is now owned by Chinese nationals…
highly likely
And?
Yep, they were exposed in March with Aldi Allowrie Honey
Coles and Aldi running a scam selling imported food as organic
It's also likely that because pandas eat honey and hence the name.
Panda don't eat honey. They eat bamboo FYI

https://superbeefy.com/what-do-giant-panda-bears-eat-and-are…
They actually seem to be liking honey very much although their staple is bamboo.
I think you got panda mixed up with winnie the pooh…
@superready: ok. Fair enough you got me. Its probably like Pandas eat 99.99% bamboo and 0.01% honey or probably less.
mmm…panda and australian made….sounds aussie enough….
The CCPPD thanks you for your cooperation, comrade homersyd.
Hopefully not the bad ones like allowrie mixed blossom
what makes this a bargain if you don't know it's any good?
$8.99 for a kg of crap is still crap.
Crap that'll never go off so you can get rid of it lol
You could use it to trap pandas
Because it says 100% aussie made? The mixed blossom are cheap ass ones imported from china
Are you asking me if it's 100% aussie made or telling me?
If you're confident that it is not mixed blossom than why put that comment up in the first place?
Why the hate mate? If you don't want to buy it, let it be. Get over it
Panda???
Sure it's Australian…
All he needs is a southern cross tattoo and he'd be at home in a riot.
Where can we find original honey?
From the blossoms of an original tree.
One true Ozzie icon.
Panda-ring to the Chinese market
I didn't know pandas made honey. I'm more partial to the bee kind.
I didn't know pandas made honey.
The jury is still out on this one.
It's not a simple 'black and white' issue.
Pandas actually eat a lot of honey just like bears
looks like the panda is holding the flag? while saying "look i made your flag, now i make your honey!"
Lol
Nominated for post of the month…
Comment.
What happened to the real JV?
Is it just me or does that panda look like he is in no mood to be joked about?
Kinda like this Asian pop star
http://s2.quickmeme.com/img/8e/8ec32f383653a4a80894cf09f6ad4…
bet he's sick of feeling ronery!
Q: What's black and white and red all over?
A: An Aussie sunburnt panda holding a tiny Aussie flag.
Thanks, I'm here all week.
You should stick to song writing
Panda honey is as old as me and I have never hears of them until now
After some Googling, it looks like the Panda Honey brand has only been around since 2013. It also has a sister brand, Pura Bee. Owned by a Greek Australian family apparently, so not especially Chinese despite the pandaness.
Allowrie honey is the same honey we use for the Capilano and Wescobee products
Allowrie is mostly blended overseas honey but Capilano is all Australian. Still sugar syrup effectively.
Nothing can possibly be as bad as Indonesian honey.
That stuff is sweeter than white sugar and probably contains more sugar.
Cacpilano owns Allowrie and is also the supplier to the major supermarkets for their home brands
Correct
@spy:
So which honey is safe to eat? None of that Chinese crap.
Hopefully its not "Victorian honey"

185 tonnes sold, fined 30 grand. that'll learn em
Gee soft fine, relative to what was sold
Yep, that fine didn't sting much.
Hey come on now, Bee positive!
16 cents per kilo bet that hurt their profits and taught them to not worry to much about getting caught again
Australia has the dumbest penalties for food and import.
Just high on traffic infringements,
This product has created quite a buzz.
It's a sweet deal
Not to shab-bee indeed
Look at ya'll pandaring to nationalism.
Looking at a 1kg tub of honey for the same price right now, but from the local fruit market, and locally produced as well. Tastes great. Its the same price every day of the year. Maybe a bargain at Aldi but nothing special… Hunt around and you can probably find better local honey for same price in many parts of Aus.
What is it called? I'm curious!
Natural liquid Honey. Weird name. 100% pure Australian honey produced by Golden Ark honey in Rochedale South, QLD. I buy it at Bellas/Rochedale Markets.
Just saw what I understood to be 1kg of local honey for the same price as this at Spud Shed Jandakot.
I believe that is the regular price there too.
We often buy a kg of local honey from our local norco farm supplies store here in woolgoolga, $10. Not every norco would stock honey but guess some others would.
Local honey is meant to be better for you if using it to help treat pollen allergies as well so it makes sense to buy honey made from flowers in your local area.
Good price. I hope I remember to get some.
People either complaining that might be chinese or saying it's truly Australian. Geez, not everything in the world is black or white.
Except Pandas
Well, you look like you are the only one who got it xdddddddddddd
Local markets are the go. Also some wineries etc sell honey. Maybe on Gumtree? Just feels right supporting the little guys.
Are aldi honey real honey or pastaurised?
Add some wine and soy sauce and you have the perfect glaze for a BBQ panda steak
Panda Australia.. umm?
Check the back, if it says Made in Australia from Local & Imported Ingredients, it's syrup from China.
You're better off going with R.Stephens Leather Wood, or Beechwood
"R.Stephens Leatherwood"
Tell me more.
Used to be quite nice but now can taste a slight strong/bitter after taste.
from my understanding, it's ok for honey to change colour/taste from the same manufacturer & product line.
I am not sure about 'bitter' though, I have R.Stephans and it's not bad compared to the rubbish that's on the market from China.
Front sticker says made in Australia from 100% Australian ingredients ?
Did you even look at the product? It said right there at the front: Made in Australian from 100% Australian ingredients
Did you even look at the product? It said right there at the front: Made in Australian from 100% Australian ingredients
If you want to really understand imported Asian honey, look for subtle wording:
"100 Australian Ingredients"
How many freakin ingredients are there in honey? Unless the honey is mixed?
So it could be that 60% of the honey is from China and 40% from Australia. Enough to say "Australian Ingredients"
Pure and Natural
What is Natural??
100% Australian ingredients = 60% China 40% Australian. Alright, not gonna even bother argue with you at this point.
2 Chinese honey-importers downvoted this
Honey makes you fat.
BAD honey does.
To bee, or not to bee- that is the question.
Hmmmmm not to bee
Now says 100% Australian honey… but still… probably Chinese Bees born in Australia.
so they are ABCB then…lol
Or Australian bees feeding on Chinese pollen?
Or Australian bees feeding on Chinese pollen?
ahh pandas… are they chinese owned?
