I am looking for HP 56 black in particular.

Those are compatible inks not genuine. I tend to do a price search of the one i am after and then get the price beaten at officeworks. Recently i got them to price beat HP96 i think whihc they had at $56 to $36 delivered. Lowest price i found was at dell.
Yeah , after doing my own research i believe that is the cheapest. However I dont like the idea of charging extra postage cost to make a profit.
Disclosure: I'm a representative of The Cartridge Shop
Have a look and see what you think of our pricing. Freight is free for all orders over $50 or flat rate $7.50 otherwise.

I bought an ink refill kit off ebay last year, it was something like this. By the way, I am using the exact same cartridge (56 black).

500mL of refill, and the capacity of the HP 56 black that I have is 19mL. Works out to be 26 refills for about $47. Brilliant. So far I've only had to refill once (about 2 weeks ago) and it worked absolutely 100% fine.
How easy / hard was it refilling? How is it done? I have HP 564 cartridges.
Very easy, and the instructions are provided.
Basically, you rip off the label on the top of the cartridge and you'll notice that it has 5 holes. You just grab one of the syringes and draw about 5mL out of the 500mL bottle and insert it slowly into any of the holes (I did 3 refills into 3 different holes). When you insert it into the hole, you're inserting it into a sponge so it fills straight into that. They suggest that you let it set for about 8 hours before you use it (which I did). It then asks you to clean the cartridges by using the built-in printer function.
The one step that I skipped was the step to reset the printers reading of the cartridge. It says that it will think the cartridge has low ink even after refilling, but mine seems to detect it fine so I didn't do that. Besides, the step for that looked weird/confusing.
Thank you. I might try it.
It's been over a year, but I bought mine from this guy on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3x-INK-HP-56-57-PSC-1200-2200-2500-42…
