Am I Entitled to a Refund? (Lift Passes)

I purchased a Bullet lift pass foer 2 days on Friday 1/09/17 to be usd on Sat 2/Sun3. However on Sunday 3rd, winds caused most of the lifts not to be open, and the lifts that were open were unsuitable for any intermediate snowboarder as there was no summit access.

I asked on this day to be rolled over to another day, or to be refunded. However I was told that there were no refunds and they would assess whether to put in place their wind hold policy at 1pm. However at 3pm I checked and saw that the other lifts are still not operational and no wind hold policy had been put into action.

I only did one run and deemed there to be no use for me to board on this day and immediately approached for a replacement day or refund.
Am I entitled to one via ACL?

    Yes.

    • Polite.

  • Have you read their wind policy?

A determination will be made at 1.00pm on a Wind Hold Day, and published on the Mt
Buller website and displayed at all points of sale that replacement day vouchers will be
    available to eligible guests.

    • I have a screenshot that shows their lifts still closed at 3pm and a wind hold day was not issued.
Checked on multiple devices and they said the same thing.

However I was essentially told that I looked at the page wrong
      https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_bMeqEM7tTpUkpKSTR0RGkxNHc…

      • They get to determine which lifts it applies to.

They will literally have the blue bullet lift on slow speed and the carpet running just to say it wasn't wind hold that day. Been there many times, always hit with this bullshit. I understand it is dangerous to operate lifts when windy but I hate it when all they try to do is keep our money in their pockets. At least offer a voucher that lasts a year not 3 months. I find Falls Creek's policy so much more accommodating where they let you use the voucher for next year.

Good luck trying to get a refund/replacement from them. It's like taking a piece of meat away from a hungry pack of wild dogs.

Raise hell on their social media page. They shouldnt have to think twice on a fair refund request.

  • Contact the gov Consumer Affairs body in your state and explain the situation.
