Best Credit Card for Someone with a Few Months Left on Visa

Hey guys, TL;DR my current visa ends in a few months, therefore I cant get approval for most normal CCs. however I have been spending quite a bit medical bills and other stuff and its really starting to add up, I am willing to pay a deposit (how it works in Canada if you have a bad credit/short visa). I just want to get something (rewards) for all the money I have spent. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks :)

    I've heard of the deposit thing in Canada, but never seen it here.
    Have you applied and been rejected for normal cards? I assume they look at your passport and fail you because of the short visa expiration.
    Do you have an AU driver's license you could use instead for the ID? That would not disclose you are on the way out.

    my Passport was renewed in Feb so it expires in 2027, I think theres a way for them to check. Every time they ask for payslips/visa information to confirm I am staying… No AU licence, I had a Westpac Black CC last year but i canceled it because they didnt have any promos to waive the annual fee. I guess its not meant to be :/

    Why are you looking to use a service that immediately causes you to spend more money than if you hadn't used it to pay as well as contributing to a pool of data about you that makes it easier to manipulate you into spending more in the future?

      I sadly ran into some medical problems which requires me to pay upfront first and I am usually able to claim most of it back via insurance. you can imagine how many points I would have missed out on.

      Then why would I want to put pay a deposit? How it works in Canada is you can put a 5k bond for 5k credit, so there 0 risk for the CC company. Its the OzB brain cells inside the die everytime when i receive the 4-5 digit bills from my Westpac Debit CC

        Not as good as credit cards but you do earn points per $ spent and it isn't a credit card so no worries about visa, credit history, etc.
