Partial Cancellation Order from SportsDirect, but Still Charging The Full Postage: Am I Entitled to a Partial Refund?

Hi all

I ordered 4 items from SportsDirect.com.au. The day after, they cancelled one of the item and shipped the 3 others.

I checked my Paypal statements, they charged me for only the 3 items but with the full cost of the postage.

The postage is relatively expensive ($16) compare to the price of an item ($16 each). I wouldn't have ordered for only 3 items.

They cancelled 25% of my order, should I ask for a refund of 25% of the postage ($4)?

Thanks

How much would have postage cost if you didn't order the canceled item?

Shipping to Australia starts at $16, regardless of how many items you've purchased. Bottom line is, no you can't get reduced shipping price.

Arguably OP would have not ordered at at all of the shipping cost was that high in comparison to to the overall items.
Sports direct should really provide a cancel full order and refund option.

  • Samething happened to me with a few orders from SportsDirect. I don't order items that specify low stock anymore as they usually don't have it.

  • EB does that too. That's why I only buy from their website when there's a free shipping code.
Perhaps you could express your dissatisfaction on their social media page? That usually gets people's attention.

    Not if it's flat rate

Can you request that they send you the fourth item when it's back in stock & have it coveted under the same shipping fees.

  • They always do this shit.
Happened to me before their sale item I really wanted to buy grouped with other stuff I bought. Then get emailed 'Out of stock' and order is shipped without telling me.
Oh look on their site the exact item now not on sale IN STOCK.
