I was looking at budget HD STBs and found this. The price looks good, no idea if the unit is too? Anyone know if this can record TV?

Without actually having one it's hard to say but all those features and that size for that price seems pretty rad!
It doesn't appear to record TV. No Encoding!
And there isn't a record button on the remote.
I recon it's an ok price.
The DH2826 for $40 was a better deal but still, if you don't need recording but need a STB that can handle almost every format you can throw at it, get this.
I'm still kicking myself because I didn't jump on that deal.
Wonder if I should grab this, total is around $52. With the 2826 from directdeals, you could get it at $59 if you use free shipping they give you.. hmm.

Its a STB not a PVR so no recording function.
This is a good price on this unit. Anyone know of a PVR like the Highlander DH-2826 that can read NTFS? If the DH-2826 read NTFS as well it would be awesome.

kmart is selling akai hd stb with usb recording for $74.
i have the 2826 which is the same as this but the 2826 is also a PVR. No complaints. Nice interface, responsive unit, picture looks as good as the next STB.
Can even play MKV. Only limitation was that it could only read FAT32 disk formats. Otherwise, awesome unit at an awesome price.
