A lot of places are selling this for around $40-$49.
DJ states RRP is only $34.95…combining cash rewards it brings the price down to $27.60.

Don't know…just bought one for C&C.
Yes its quite good, i have got one for 4 years now, and use it for gringind any spice (cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, etc) it does the job really good. And the + is that u can wash the bowl/container like some otger spice grinders u cant
Steel blades so good for cutting ie perfectly fine for spices etc for cooking.
Would work for coffee but not ideal - for that something with a 'conical burr' is better as the resulting ground coffee is much more even which makes for a more consistent/reliable brew. Those grinders are way more expensive generally - so if it's a choice between using pre-ground coffee or grinding it using something like this, then I'd go with this.
Thanks I have the delongni icona pump it was $150 so not about to spend similar on just the grinder. This seems fitting for my needs
Yep - should be fine. Just need to work out the best way to use the grinder eg always use the same amount of beans, don't overload the thing, and use bursts to avoid burning the beans.
Wait for the Amex offer to kick in tomorrow and you can buy two for $40
Amex offer is live now (but only useful if you can shop in Market St or Bourke St Mall)
Isn't it 1st of September?
Nope, today until September 14.
I stand corrected. Now shall we share a Splice grinder together. :)
@nightelves: Sorry, not in the market for one hahaha
How does it differ from a small blender? I have got plenty of blenders at home….
Thank you OP!
Does it work more like a blender than a food processor ? Looking for something to do sambal chilli which produce coarse but not a smooth texture as my $10 mini food processor just died.
It's more for dry spices I would expect. If you are using fresh chilli etc then you would be better off with a food processor. Actually, for a sambal, a mortar & pestle (around $12 at the likes of Kmart) would be the go I would suspect.
Thanks for your reply. I will have to wait for a cheap food processor to come on sale then.
After grinding the sambal chili, the next coffee grinding will taste hotter than normal one ~~ LoL
Asian spiced coffee will be the next big thing on the market then!
@DaWeizOne: oh do remind me the chili chocolate by Lindt…
Thanks OP, went and grabbed my click & collect today. Now to grind up some spices for some brisket and pork I have in the fridge before smoking them for 12 hours.
Any good ?
