  • Is this designed for 24/7 plugging into an outlet?

    • You mean AC? no. I got one from Amazon. Charging interface is micro USB. This thing can go a day without charging.

      • But you could plug it into a usb charger, I'm more wondering if this would wear the device out.

        • -1

Most likely, yes. Battery life can be reduced by constant charging. It will still works, just at reduced battery capacity when you do decide to use it unplugged.

    • description says: … keeps your tunes playing for up to 24 hours on a single charge—that’s over 2X longer than most other Bluetooth speakers.

  • All the reviews are focused on the battery. The battery life on these is meant to be epic - but what's the sound quality like?

    • +1

      Windows Central

"Bass is a little underwhelming, but I'm not sure it's as much of a deal given the price of this speaker. I'm ok with it, personally, since I don't listen to much bass-heavy music. But it's something to bear in mind if you do. Otherwise it's a fairly neutral and balanced sound."

    • In my phone (Android) I have separate sound profiles (bluetooth, headphones…etc) based on output. I was able to get pretty good sound out of this after playing with the EQ of the music app (Poweramp, Jetaudio).

    • Bass is poor compared to a Bose Soundlink Mini or a JBL Flip…but those are considerably more expensive.

To be honest I was underwhelmed with the sound (bought one for a friend) but I own a Soundlink Mini.

      • Yeah sure soundlink much better, but almost 10x the price of this. Not a fair comparison I guess. If you fiddle around with your EQ/DSP on your phone you could get pretty decent sound out of this.

  • Can you use two of these at the same time? Just bought one of these from Amazon in a previous deal

    • Is it possible to pair two speakers with one device simultaneously?
No, devices are generally only able to pair with a single speaker at a time.

Galaxy S8's have Bluetooth 5.0 I think, which lets you output/connect to multiple bluetooth speakers at the same time, without needing any special app.

ie; You can connect to a Logitech UE Boom, Beats Pill and this all at once and have them all play off the phone

        • Wasn't aware of that. Sorry for my ignorance :)

        • That's useful to know.
          Thanks for sharing

      • Creative speakers have this function built into the speakers. You can connect two speakers together. I own the Creative Muvo 2 which is also water resistant. Also audio can be played via aux, bluetooth, sd card and microusb. Sound quality is pretty good but then again it cost $100

        • but do they have to be 2 of the same brand speakers?

        • @jaackyy:
yes. If you want them to be different speakers, then you need Bluetooth 5.0

      • Hey Spidey,
On a side note, for under $50 do you think it's better to by some Logitech wired speakers (2 speakers and maybe subwoofer) vs single Bluetooth speaker.

Using it for my study desk and don't want to always be blasting music through headphones.

Are you sure there isn't a W missing off the speaker grill?

    • +1

Have checked the reviews and know that it is one of the best budget speaker but this is the only reason I couldn't get myself to purchase this Bluetooth Speaker.

    • +1

Mine is missing 'SP' from the front.

  • +1

Anyone know how this compares to the Xiaomi speakers?

  • +1

I did not need one, but could not resist the bargain.

    • That's the spirit … :D
