I agree, you can get the Dove 1L bodywash on sale at Woolies for less than $4. There are other examples as well. Not sure whats special about this one though that justifies the price. Can anyone advise?

No animal testing, vegan friendly, generally 'healthier' ingredients, made here, profits go to charity etc etc. Depends if you are in to those sorts of things or not really. For the exact type of product it is then its a decent deal, but if you just want the cheapest soap you can buy its not.

No animal testing?? Do they test products on humans? OMG that's so cruel!

        • @maolin95: no they test it on fruit

        • @maolin95: Nothing wrong with human testing. I would love to tests most of my patients meds, to make sure they are safe

can you? such as? they have none <$4/L atm afaik

        • on sale dude. I didn't say there was a sale on now, but when there is, pounce and stock up.

        • @Trishool:

according to price hipster, the cheapest it's ever been is $6.85/L

          https://pricehipster.com/?q=dove%20body%20wash%201l

have you paid less than that?

        • @tonester: Yes, local woolies, 1L triple moisturising for $3.84 I think, less that $4. This was about 6 weeks ago.

        • @Trishool:

$3.84 is 72% off the normal price of $13.70 - unless it was reduced to clear, I think that you might have bought 375ml not 1L?

        • @tonester: 1 litre and not reduced to clear.

        • @Trishool:

nice - you should post it as a deal if ever that cheap again :)

    What's wrong with soap?

  • +2

I buy this as it smells GREAT - particularly the Rosewood. Leaves a nice scent on your skin after washing. Yes cost a little more, but worth it IMO. Similar botanic smell to AESOP.

  • What else is cheap at Big W at the moment? I don't want to go there just to pick up this.

  • Thankyou

  • Tried price beating at chemist warehouse in Epping but had a sour experience. The moment I mentioned the words price beat their expressions changed. It was initially aggression and then disregard. I was then told it was a long process and that the manager would have to call the other store and do his due diligence to ensure it is a valid price match.

I was made to wait for 20 mins then told I was eligible for only 1 item - 1 per person it seems. I had to stand at the counter the whole time. Then I was told the computer didn't let them do a price override anyway. After all this, the girl had the audacity to tell me to come back and try tomorrow.

I was fuming by the time I left. Some stores are truly run by narcissists.

    • Today I tried CW at Bundoora and had a completely different experience! The girl at the counter just had a look at my phone, then adjusted the price and we were off on our way, no per person limits either.

      Happy days.

  • Bought a bottle of the rosewood stuff yesterday, and now wishing I didn't. It smells like some kind of wood glue. :-(

Fortunately, I bought a bottle of the Radox as well, so I can use that, and my gf can use the other stuff.
