I'm after some suggestions for the best MFI-certified lightning cable to use in my car (Kia Rio 2013) for my iPhone SE. I bought a BlitzWolf Ampcore cable, but my car didn't like it - it would not let me skip tracks while connected. I had a Belkin coloured one for a while too, until the internal wires broke and I couldn't get a consistent connection.
I'd ideally like something with a braided outer, and NOT* longer than a metre.

I went through 10 cheap cables that weren't working until I realised what the problem was. The lightning port was dirty. Small pieces of fluff were building up and preventing the phone from charging. If your lightning cable doesn't snap into place with a solid "click" - then you need to clean the port. Use a fine needle, small paperclip or an unfolded staple and fish around the sides of the port on your phone/iPad to clean out the gunk. Once you've cleaned that, you'll find most of your cheap cables will start to work again.

Hmmm, The BlitzWolf 'Ampcore' BW-MF5/6/7 cables state that they have MFI certs but arnt listed on the MFi authorised list, but the standard plastic cables are(BW-MF1)
Bought an Aukey MFi braided lightning cable for dad's car and he hasnt complained about it.
Interesting, I didn't know there was an authorized list, but it makes sense that there would be!
I was just looking at at Aukey cable on eBay earlier today. How long has your dad had it?
There was a cool purple Verbatim one with an aluminum outer on eBay a few months ago too.
about a year. Ive had other braided cables and theyre fine. maybe check your socket like someone said above and give it a clean out
a genuine cable is the only thing i can seem to work in myen. Other ones work and ive tried a decent amount but they will shortly after reject the phone, wont find it or things just dont work. Will have to follow and see if someone has a suggestion!
