    Don't forget cashrewards!

    https://www.cashrewards.com.au/hellofresh

Edit: Cashback is payable for new customers - valid on Classic, Family and Veggie Boxes only and ongoing subscriptions.

    • +3

I'd like to remind everyone that once you've purchased something from Hello Fresh you are forever in their Spam DatabaseⓇ. The only way to get out is to move houses, as far as I can tell. So factor that into the $20 cash backs.

      • Yeah, but that's got nothing to do with cashrewards?
They only dish out email spam, which can be avoided.

  • Also - appears to have a $20 coupon here. I would assume these stack.

    Following are the conditions:
    Earn 5,000 Qantas Points
To earn 5,000 Qantas Points, all you need to do is subscribe to a Classic, Veggie, or Family Box using your Qantas Frequent Flyer email address.

Enter the promo code FRESH20QANTAS – and you’ll receive $20 off your 1st and 2nd box*.

    • You also need to have health insurance with them if you read the fine print

      • You can get health insurance with them for <$10 / month, and cancel at any time.
Cancellation is via an automated phone system.

      • I got the points wiht9ut having health insurance. And In fact they gave me 8,000 points

        • +1

How do the Qantas points get credited? I don't see anywhere to enter my frequent flyer number.

        • @Murderface:

From memory y9u just have to use the same email address that you have with Qantas

      • No you don't. Nothing in the below about having to be an Assure member.

1 You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn Qantas Points. Membership and earning Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions. A joining fee usually applies. However, this will be waived if you join when you download the App. The App (Qantas Assure App) is offered by Qantas and you must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and 13 years of age or over to use the App. To earn Qantas Points through the App, Qantas Frequent Flyer members must take out and maintain an Eligible Qantas Assure Product. Eligible Qantas Assure Products are Qantas Assure Health Insurance Policies and Qantas Assure Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance Policy. Qantas Frequent Flyer members who do not purchase an Eligible Qantas Assure Product can accrue Locked Qantas Points by completing activities through the App. Locked Qantas Points will expire 12 months after the member last accrued a Locked Qantas Point. Up to 3,000 Locked Qantas Points can be converted to Qantas Points following purchase of an Eligible Qantas Assure Product.
2 Meal box offer is only available to Qantas Frequent Flyers and is only valid on a household’s first two deliveries of a Classic Box, Veggie Box or Family Box. Use of promo code will automatically sign you up to an ongoing weekly subscription. Changes to box types or box subscriptions can be made before 11:59PM AEST on the Wednesday prior to the week of your next scheduled delivery. 5,000 bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 60 days after your second box order. 3,000 bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 60 days after your tenth order. Meal box offer is only valid within HelloFresh delivery areas. Delivery area excludes Tasmania and Western Australia. Full terms and conditions available on HelloFresh.com.au.
3 Friends referral offers are only available to Qantas Frequent Flyers. To refer a friend, log into your HelloFresh account on hellofresh.com and share your HelloShare code. 1,000 bonus Qantas Points per referral will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 60 days of subscription. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other HelloFresh offer and is only valid within HelloFresh delivery areas. Delivery area excludes Tasmania and Western Australia. Full terms and conditions available on HelloFresh.com.au.

    $35 off first box here
    https://www.hellofresh.com.au/tasty/food-boxes/?c=SEMB35

Annoyingly you cant post referral links on ozbargain for hello fresh due to hello fresh's rules, BUT, you can email to your mates and the referral program gets you $50 credit and your mate $50 off their first order.

    DONT Post referral links below

    • confirm code works, use promo code SEMB35 for $35 off

  • So to claim this offer 5 times, does that mean you'd need to cancel the account and pay manually 5 times?

    • Sounds like you can get a subscription

      • I'm not sure if the subscription payments would count or not, since technically the subscription payment wouldn't be being made on the website, so maybe doesn't quality.

  • so if one order is $100… does that mean we'll get $40 cash back?

    • +1

If you know how to do split payment online through their website then let me know.

FYI - Bought a gift card and got the AMEX thank you email

  • Can anyone confirm for a brand new user first purchase whether its possible to stack with a promo code, referral, cash rewards altogether with AMEX Cashback (spend of $50 or more in transaction)?

    • +1

I got the classic box for 2 people (4 meals) and used the $35 off code above, so the price was $56.95 against my AMEX.
Instantly got the AMEX email confirming the cashback.
Went through Cashrewards too but haven't yet received any emails from them yet, but they often take a few hours.

I'll report back if I end up getting a Cashrewards email (which would be another $20 off, total price ~$16!)

      • +15

Just checked again and the cashrewards email came through,

        Retailer: HelloFresh
Date of sale: 29 Aug 2017
        Sale value: USD 45.16 *
        Expected cashback: AUD 24.42
        Estimated approval: 27 Nov 2017

        So total cost:
        $91.95
        -$35 Promo Code
        -$20 AMEX Cashback
        -$24.42 Cashrewards
        = $12.50 for 8 meals :)

I wasn't able to double dip with both promo code and referral but maybe it was just me who couldn't figure it out

        • Awesome, will do the same to give it a go :)

        • Thanks did this too :)

        • +13

UPDATE: You can get 10 meals (2 people/5 meals) for a little over $15.

          1. Enrol for AMEX cashback promo
          2. Go through Cashrewards portal and open HelloFresh website
          3. Select the box you want (e.g. 2 people/5 meals) and click continue
          4. In the cart delete the promo code which is automatically added and put a referral code in (Use the referral system)
          5. Total cost: $109.95-$50 (referral)-$20 (AMEX) - $24.40 (Cashrewards) = $15.55 for 10 meals ($1.50 per meal!)
          6. Remember to delete after you receive the first box as it is a subscription service

Mod: Referral solicitation is not allowed.

        • Followed this to a tee and got my AMEX email but waiting on the Cashrewards which I think should be no dramas.

          Thanks guys!

        • Note that generally cashback is only paid to codes listed on the cashback site so you may end up not getting the cashback.

        • @chickhen: i havent gotten my amex email yet.. quite concerning

        • @Tom088:

How do you get $24.40 from Cashrewards, isn't it only $20?

        • @neil: What about the code on that is automatically applied for new customers for $35 off?

        • +1

          @JIMB0:

Cashrewards is linking to a campaign that gives $35 off the 1st order so I'd say it's fine.

  • Ive never used hello fresh. anyone wanna explain and/or tell me how good (or bad) it is?

    • +3

In terms of box contents, it's overpriced for what you get. The value is in the home delivery, small individually wrapped portions and recipes. So if having exact ingredients of meals along with a recipe delivered to you is worth paying double for, then you'll probably love it. Even at $20-30 off a box you can get what's in it for less if you're happy to buy in larger quantities.

      • A business has a mark up and makes money. Shocker!

You’re paying for convenience, and for some people that’s worth a lot.

    • They do your grocery shopping, pick your meals, and measure out the ingredients. You still need to prep, cook and clean up. You lose the ability to chose your own meals and making extra to take to work as leftovers is problematic. (The latter is a particular issue that actually compounds the cost of this type of service).

It's really, really not worth paying 100% extra on top of your groceries, personally.

      • Not that problematic, I have two people in my household and I order the 4 people one… voila leftovers :)

    • I'd say the meals are worth about $3 each in terms of the item value. No way would anyone sane pay the full price unless they have zero time to buy groceries. Not having to go to the shops and having it delivered is great, but only when its cheap like now. I was suprised the meal recipes were actually really good, pretty easy and i learnt a bit. I'd say if you can get it cheap for a few weeks time (whenever a deal pops up) it's worth it just for the recipe cards. Get about 15 and then just get the items yourself. Really happy taste wise and can be made to look quite pleasing :)

  • Damn just reactivated delivery recent Monday at half price. Wonder if that'll work again and get Amex credit.

    • +1

Payment only comes out on Wed/Thurs though I think ? So just make sure Amex is your form of payment. And that the half price price is more than $50 :)

      • Thanks but I Had the delivery on Monday, payment was last week….

  • Can someone adjust the OP to clearly layout the best deal here? Or should that be done in a separate post? Because there are clearly multiple stacks

    • Referrals seem to be the best deal.

      $20 - AMEX
      $50 - Referral
+ Possible $20 from Cash Rewards, which is unlikely.
      $70 Total

      Mod: Removed referral solicitation

  • The way the terms are worded that you spend $50 in one or more transactions (eg can spend $40 now and $10 later to add up to $50) and that you can get the $20 cashback up to 5 times could mean that if you spend say $100 in one transaction you could get 2 x $20 back for that. Isn't 100% clear, but I'm inclined to think that is the case….

    • yeah i'm not sure of this as well… i'm inclined to think the same, anyone can confirm (anyone ordered above $100? after discounts/referrals/codes?)

  • I didn't get it on my Amex discovery :-(

    • +1

use to OP's link and add your card details in.
same with QFF amex but manual add and it'll work, I got 1 cashback on it today doing it

      • +1

Thanks ozy you are a unique snowflake.

I got used to the links not working for me when I didn't get the offer outright.

        • +1

          Umm, thanks LOL

        • @ozy:

          No thank you.

I will be naming my first born son "ozy".

        • @iforgotmysocks: hope you're happy that he'll end up in the music industry. 🤙✊🏻

  • Does anyone know if they delivery to secure apartments?

  • Can anyone confirm you got the cashreward if you use the referral code?

    Thanks!

  • +1

My plan is to use this for a few weeks then cancel. After a few weeks they send you a 40-50% off deal to reactivate your subscription and then you order one box, then cancel again. I've never paid full price for a box :) If any of your produce is a bit cruddy, unusable, missing, call up and complain and they will give you credit. My last complaint resulted in $37 credit! With a discount this is worth not having to go to the shops, not having to think about what to cook, clear instructions for the partner to follow… that last one is really worth it as it saves arguing and explaining time !
Anyway if you have any more questions or requests for codes (eg $50 off) let me know.

  • +5

Just heard this promotion on the radio - 40% off with promo code NOVA40

    • +1

that's a bigger discount if going for the larger more expensive boxes! good share

  • -1

Thanks, ordered and got the $35 off, linked my Amex card for the subscription so I expect that will qualify for the statement credit over the next few weeks (after the first discounted box)?

  • What days/times do the delivery come in?
I've never used them but thinking of starting. Also please PM me referral code.

    • Tuesdays - Saturday & Sunday at morning or afternoon deliveries.

  • Please hold off comments asking for referrals. We are in the process of setting up the automated referral system for hellofresh.com.au.

    • Hellofresh has been set up in the automated referral system.

I requested this this morning, but if you haven't already I would check with Hellofresh, as per the info I provided this morning on the referral wiki page.
      and cheers

      • Given that so many referral comments were clogging up the deal, it was better just to add it to the referral system. With the random referral system, nobody's link is publicly printed anywhere on the site so it may go under the radar.

        • okay

Has anyone received the Cashrewards confirmation email after placing your order? Haven't received mine yet…

    • +2

Haven't received mine. Ordered this morning

      • +1

        Still haven't received a Cashrewards confirmation email… a bit worrying :(

        • I didn't get a confirmation email either but I lodged a claim and Cashrewards gave me the $20 cashback so might be worth trying.

        • @gym: Thanks! I'll try :)

    • +1

no i have not either. i also havent received email from amex :(

      • +1

Received from Amex but not from CR, ordered 24hrs back

      • i didnt get the email from amex but got the credit in my cc.

    • I don't think you will if you used another code. Cashrewards says that you won't get Cashback if you use a code that isn't on their site.

  • They choose the meals? What if you don't like what they send or have allergies etc?

    • You can chose to skip weeks until you find something you like, or just go down to woolies and do a shop yourself.

  • +2

Just a heads up for everyone, I asked Amex and they said it is $20 for every $50 spent and not each transaction above $50.
    Refer below.

I asked: "I wanted to confirm, the offer is a $20 statement credit after $50 spend and can be collected up to 5 times. What does that actually mean? Say, if I spent $60 in the first transaction, I would get $20 statement credit, then I spent $40 in a second transaction, will I also get $20 statement credit after that second spend, as I have completed 2 x $50 total for 2 x $40 statement credits?"

They responded: "Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, your understanding is correct."

    • Wow so $20 off for every $50? Fantastic… so that means if you spend $100 in one transaction you get $40 back.. ?!

      • yes, from amex response

        • so did you end up get $20 back for each $50 you spent?

        • @prozerran: I spent 2 lots of $59.95, i got the cashback for the 1st one and have received email confirmation for the second one.

        • @prozerran: Yep I spent $124 and magically got $60 back. So I'm guessing the 24 was added to some previous spend to register as a separate $50. Pretty happy with that!

    • That is interesting… it honestly doesn't sound like that's how it should work, but well you've got it in writing..

    • +1

      I got a different answer:

ME: if I spend $104.95 in one transaction, will I be getting $20 or $40?

      AMEX online chat (Sep 13):
You will get $20.00 only. Even if you spend $50.00 or $50000.00 in one transactions. You need to spend $50.00 or more in 2 transactions in order to get $20 credit for each purchase.

      *shrug

      • +1

I spent $180++ (5 meals for 4 people) in one transaction and get $60 credit.

        • Woah, that's cool! Thank you, I'll make the jump :)

  • Any updates on amex and cash rewards? Haven't received an email for either :(

    • I didn't get the first $50 spend email from amex, but got it for the 2nd one. However, I've got cashback for both of them.

I didn't get the email from cashrewards, and I submitted an enquiry for that with them. They instantly credited me with $20 goodwill and said they will check up with Hellofresh.

      Hope this helps.

  • how do you use the $50 referral credit received is it via subscription only? in that case if i change my subscription to $64 for a veggie box will it take $50 credit off and charge my amex the remaining balance?

  • I got the email from Amex but 2 weeks later and I have not received the $20 yet. I usually find them reasonably prompt at crediting my account but the email states that it can take up to 90 days so I will have to set a reminder to check lest I forget about.
