Mostly, the ones who make some moolah from these types of books, apps, podcasts, blogs and etc… are the authors.
They build their following and start hocking more products either their own or someone else's to them.

In all fairness, if you're buying / downloading this then it's already pretty obvious that they can't just "get out there and get shit done", same reason it says to quit in 6 months and not like…2 weeks notice.
