dood… EB's allotment of scorpios sold out online within an hour… what kind of b…s… is this? you (and i) will probably be lucky to get an X before christmas… i couldn't even get the link to work on the heads up email i received from EB 2 days ago. just tell the scalpers to stick them where they fit… they're 40% smaller after all.
Why is this upgraded model so popular? Is it equivalent to going from a GTX 760 to a GTX 1060 or some similar performance leap? Do they have SSDs to slash loading times?
3 1080Ti in SLI and an i9 processor. It has 4 500gb ssd in raid, but they are so fast, they might as well be ram.
No SSD, GPU power is meant to be just over double, CPU power is a slight bump. People mostly want them for their 4K TV's.
It runs some games native 4K, some at a lower resolution then upscaled (~1800p) and some with dynamic or checker-boarding so it goes between native 4K and lower values.
I'm not sure how many titles are doing the 30fps to 60fps bump instead of a resolution bump.

The X demand will be low… mate who works EB head office said interest was low (when they had a wait list) compared to other system releases. (a lot of stores had Zero interest at all)
EB was allocated 1500 units for the Scorpio edition, and it seems that edition motivated people to pre-order due to its Limited Edition status.
The standard X will release and there will be crap loads of stock around, no need to worry… unless having a green sticker that says Project Scorpio and a free stand matters to you
I bought 5 so that my kids can each one and then a spare…just in case.
