Hi Guys, there are a lot of good deals on Shopmonk. I have seen some good and bad reviews about them.
I placed an iphone order with them two days ago, the order status is still "processing". tried calling and emailing, get no response whatsoever.
What's your experience with them? are they legit? The customer service seems non-existence for me.

This is my first account with ozbargain. What's wrong with asking a question? It is true that the order is still processing after 2 days and it is true that their customer service is not reachable.
do your research. Lots of people have bought from them and have had no issues

Hello OP, I apologise that you didn't get a reply to your email. We usually dispatch in 2-5 days and allow extra 5 days for delivery.
I havent' received a reply to ANY of my emails and no one answers your customer care phone number.

When you see memes about unreasonable customers, it is you they are talking about.
You do not deserve instant replies and for a business to drop everything to ship your item faster than 48 hours. It is great that some do, but calling a site a scam if they don't is the epitome of unreasonableness.
There are plenty of retail stores selling iphones if you need instant service, but you need to pay for that.
I wasn't expecting instant drop. I was hoping to get a dispatch notification after two days of placing the order, or at least pick up the phone when customer calls.?

I didn't see they had a phone number listed, and I just called it and it is not working (no ringing, just immediate disconnect).
I think calling a site a scam is a bit unreasonable, but I agree they should have a working phone number if they advertise it.
Depends on ETA surely … if it's 2 days then there's a problem, if it's 7 days not so much..
They are in Singapore, according to other posts, and their terms page says:
"Shipping Information
As we source all our brands internationally, the lead time for all the orders are 7-14 working days."
I also note they display no ABN despite having a com.au domain, which isn't right.
Their terms page list the seller as variously "Longman Capital Pte Ltd" and Shopmunk Australia. It also says the terms are governed by Indian law.
All in all, my assumption is they are just another off-shore e-commerce site like gearbest or banggood, maybe slightly more upmarket as they have some premium brand goods.
You don't necessarily have to have an ABN to own a .com.au domain.
Don't know why everybody is having a go at OP for asking mostly reasonable questions? Maybe using the word scam was too strong, but it should be encouraged to ask these questions. You can't really win on OzBargain, if OP had fallen for a scam he/she would also be criticised.

When customer service failed you, put a post here, and I can see the store rep jumping out to resolve the problem rather quickly.

I placed a order for an iphone 6s 3 weeks ago and their website still shows 'processing'. They did have an Aussie phone number 1300 304 508 3 weeks ago and the number was blank, they don't show their number anymore. So yes it's a bit strange when lots of people say they had fast delivery whilst my order is still in 'processing' 3 weeks later…
Try emailing them and if they dont respond open a dispute through paypal and wait for their reply. If its been 3 weeks, I dont think you should wait any further.

You're not alone. I had a faulty Samsung S7 that needed to be replaced and it took approximately 1 month of waiting for emails and waiting for them to assess it before it was all resolved. They are hard to get in contact with. However, I'm still happy with their service. It was after all, a stupidly cheap price!

I Bought a Samsung Galaxy S8 from them on the 10 of October. My money was debited immediately but 2 days later Still seen the order status stuck on Pending so I emailed them asking if there was an issue If there was a delay or anything I should know about. I get a Pre scripted reply saying it will take 14 – 21 days. Waited for 3 more days. still stuck on Pending. Decided to email them again since very evidently they hadn't addressed my main concern if there was an issue/delay. No reply for 5 days. So I decided to call them. They first guy who answered said he doesn't know why the order was stuck and would get the Warehouse to email me that evening with an update. Surprise, Surprise no email. called the next day had to make about 15 calls before was connected (the call rang and then disconnected before that) The guy who answered stated that they had run out of stock in that specific color and he didn't know when they would get new stock but he would email all the managers and get one of them to reply that evening. Well what do you know. No reply there either. From the period that i bought that phone the same color handset went from sold out to back on sale twice. So I Called the next day The guy said he could see that they were expecting stock and even if stock came in on Friday I would still get it before the sla of 21 days. Made it very clear to him that if not I was going to fair trading. Come Tuesday (do you sense a pattern here) No handset and after 150+ calls no one answered. I emailed them at the start of the day to check the status no reply. Today is 23 Days. SLA Breached and no idea of any update on the handset.
If you believe in donations then take a chance. That's how their prices are so low. They don't ship one in 3 phones. So if your a gambler take the risk. if you value your money don't shop with them.
Can you not read your own text… "14 – 21 days". They clearly told you orders can take almost a month. I'm guessing they didn't have enough stock for that item. I'm not defending them but use some common sense.
14 to 21 days is less than a month check their website its days not working days. Secondly read what I said. It was 23 days. as far as I remember 23>21. Also today is 25 days. Still no phone. What do you have to say

@randolpg: You seem to be someone who is ok with shoddy customer service, I'm not. FYI After contacting higher after raising a dispute on paypal did i find out that they hadnt even shipped it 25 days later after the order was placed. Not once did they tell me that there would be a delay after even checking with them via email. Do you find that ok. Then good for you. I wish you the best with all your service providers
So, it appears that lots of people have still not received their orders for their "eBay Hourly Deal" of a Note 8, which took place about a month ago. Prior to making the purchase, i read up about Shopmonk, and how they often held peoples funds for weeks and months without delivering any goods. Given their feedback was above 99.5% of the time, i felt confident in purchasing from them despite what many others were saying.
Well, it appears as if the naysayers were correct. It has now been 4 weeks and Shopmonk have yet to deliver anything.I emailed them at the 1 and 3 week marker and received the exact same canned response each time. It appears that they cut and pasted a standard response for all their email enquiries. I again emailed them a few days ago, and now all I hear is radio silence.
So that has me wondering. As one or two people may have suggested, are they taking peoples funds and using that as a form of free credit? It would almost seem as if they operate as a sort of retail Ponzi Scheme. Given the negative experience from many previous buyers, Im surprised eBay would even have promoted them on their main page with the Hourly Deal.
Finally received my item so all is good. Quite satisfied with my buy, just their shipping times and communication could use improving.

These Guys are NOT genuine, they dont have a phone number and they dont respond to any issues, I had a bad experience with them, the products they are selling are I guess are not genuine. They dont respond to your emails, just dont care.

Purchased an iPhone 8 for $997 on their recent sale, on the 26th September which stated 14-20 days shipping. After 35 days they finally replied to me saying they don't have the stock!
I'm trying to get a refund through PayPal and they are not even responding to them!
