Good High Pressure Cleaner at a Cheap Price

Hi guys,

I was after a high pressure cleaner for my dad. I was just wondering what a good price for them was. So far i've found http://stores.channeladvisor.com/TalonTools/Items/FH140D_NW?… and http://stores.channeladvisor.com/TalonTools/Items/FHH20D_NW?…. It says you save quite a bit, but i dont know if other stores have them cheaper. Or even a different brand that is also good quality at a cheap price. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

at these prices, plus postage, you will get something more or less same in a Karcher. Bunnings have full range from (I think) $99 upwards.

  • Ahh.. so i should probably just go to bunnings. Didnt think of that. I've since seen the same high pressure cleaners on ebay for 'make an offer' from the same store.

What do you think of these 'make an offer' deals? I really dont know what im looking for in a high pressure cleaner. My dad did seem more interested in the more powerful one, but i think he would settle for the smaller one. This is an extremely late fathers day present =P

  • I did a lot of research on this before I bought one recently. I got a Gerni Classic 110.1PC at Bunnings for $199, which is more than basic, but I was prepared to pay a bit more for somewhat higher power and included patio cleaner. Some Bunnings sell a lower end Gerni Classic for $128 which should be ok for ordinary use. There is usually a low end Karcher at Bunnings for $99. Karcher is a well known brand. My experience is that a bit more money gets noticeably better cleaning performance. The main issues to consider seem to be: spray psi; pump power kw; water flow litres per sec; length of spray (high pressure) hose; wheeled or not; metal pump with stainless steel pistons said to be more durable than plastic; accessories needed.
Proper use and maintenance of these devices will considerably extend their useful life, eg follow correct startup and shutdown procedure.

    • Thanks for that! I think i'll definitely have to go have a look at bunnings now. Does your Gerni Classic 110.1PC tick all the boxes for the main things to consider list? Are Karcher's meant to be better than your Gerni Classic and Talon?
