    (25c squeaky hotdogs!)

Were they in the pet section too??

    • +1

They're all in the clearance section at the far end of the front of the store, near the freezers.

    • No, they're in the squeaky section, just keep walking until you hear the squeaks.

  • Camberwell (Selected States Only)

How many Camberwells are there in Australia?

    • Only two, and the other doesn't have a Coles :P

edit: I didn't set that title!

  • Did you check their use by date?

    • Cat flea treatment I got is Sep 2018.

I wouldn't use it. Pet treatments from a supermarket are a recipe for disaster

    • Care to elaborate?

    • Whys that, because they didnt come from a vet at 350% mark up?

      • A 350% mark up is to ensure that you have a living pet after taking the medication. Not one that is frothing at the mouth. Would I trust a huge pharmaceutical company like Bayer and Bayer or exelpet? I don't know. I use Nextgard Spectra and that only costs $14 a month and covers everything and chewable too.

Also would you trust your medicine to come up as clearance? And take a wonder as to why it's clearance.

        • Doesn't seem to be popular, hey?

We'll see how it goes; my cat doesn't have fleas so I'm not trying to control an infestation like these people are as we are reasonably regular with treatments.

          If it's shit I'll report back :)

        • @picklewizard: It's not if its shit or not. There are so many cases of frothing in the mouth and like emergency vet visits.

        • A 350% mark up is to ensure that you have a living pet after taking the medication.

Utter nonsense, the only reason they have such a huge markup is because they spend money developing a particular drug and hold the patent, no different to pharmaceutical companies.

Would I trust a huge pharmaceutical company like Bayer and Bayer or exelpet?

Has nothing to do with the company, and the medications they use have been around much longer than ones that are new like Nexgard and Bravecto, and they also don't contain a cocktail of drugs.

Based on that alone I would trust them more.

Also would you trust your medicine to come up as clearance?

So what, Nexgard and Bravecto are also sold heavily discounted, they've even been given away for free.

          https://www.google.com.au/search?q=exelpet+reviews&oq=exelpe…

How does a few Google search terms prove anything?

BTW, Nexgard and Bravecto also get plenty of shitty reviews, and they have far more serious side effects, like causing severe itching, epilepsy and anaphylactic shock.

Do a Google search yourself and check out some of the horrendous issues people have had.

        • @sunnyc:

There are so many cases of frothing in the mouth and like emergency vet visits.

Bullshit, and there are numerous reports of Nexgard and Bravecto causing serious issues and vet visits.

$14 a month and covers everything and chewable too

Not all dogs take chewables, and not all dogs live in a tick-prone area or where there are ticks all year round.

        • @sunnyc: Yeah, I'll take that with a grain of salt.

        • @picklewizard: fair enough. I just asked around and heard of these issues with expeller but looking at the mortality rates with me hard is crazy. Nothing wrong with my dog but I guess everybody should read products information well.

        • @sunnyc: I worm and flea treat the stray cat my other half fed and now owns us apparently with exelpet. So far its been fine. Going on 2 years.
