Well, traditionally you have gaming consoles for home (eg. Wii, PS4, Xbox) or handheld (DS, Vita). Even though the Switch falls into both categories, it is marketed as a home gaming console (and it also has the performance as one) with handheld features (whereas the 2DS/3DS are in the handheld line). So actually, it's cheap for a home gaming console.

@BradleyDS2: they can market it however they want. It won't change the fact it's a portable with HDMI out. I'm ok with that. I see it as a powerful handheld.

Cheapest EVER was $75 through eBay with Target but they ended the listing through error.
Cheapest WAS $79 at both BigW and Target at different times.
Now, Unless you have work mates with 10% discount with sales. The cheapest is $89 as of now. eBay is hovering around $80 with sales. Not that insane.
I find the joycons best for Splatoon. Play with one in each hand and aim with just the right one - closest thing you'll get to mouse and keyboard on console, only better!

Target is going to have it for $69 retail definitely. They will probably sell it at $64 at release like arms, splatoon and MK8 and it would be great if ebay got scared of amazon again so we can get an extra 10-15% off that.

I always thought JB HiFi preorder deal won't be available anymore on the release day.I've never pre-ordered from JB, because from personal experience Big W and/or Target is always cheaper than JB on release day
I pre-ordered from EB, then on the day of pickup I just show them the price from Target and get it matched straight away with the preorder bonuses
