They tried. I thought they reverted after epic backlash
I'm saying it with a heavy dose of cynicism, Each time i've dealt with their reps at event they've been told to say "oh the recipe is the same it's ever been."
People point out the shrinking sizes they are encouraged to jest "Oh maybe you've just grown up and you remember it larger than it was", before going to the "we've adjusted portion sizes to help with people making better choices".
You do get some honest reps who tell you that they've been deliberately cheaping out on the recipe and that they have no intention to change it due to how much cheaper it is to make now and that there are enough people who don't remember how good it used to taste and the ones who do will "get over it"

Honestly serving sizes should be smaller. If you check out a few waistlines then you can see that maybe our idea of a regular serving size is a bit too big.
