The Coffee Club VIP Club 12-Month Membership - $10 (Normally $25, 60% off)

2020
LIONSM10

My Coffee Club VIP Membership expired and I successfully used this code to renew my annual membership for $10.
I tried a few codes/deals posted by others, but all turn out to cost $17.5, not $12.5 anymore as claimed.

They will send you a membership card through mail, together with a free coffee voucher, within 10 days.

The membership entitles you to the following benefits for a year:
-Buy one hot beverage, get one FREE
-10% discount off all other food and cold beverages, Monday - Wednesday

Hope this helps anyone planning to join or renew the membership.

  • +1

    Thanks my first coffee membership.

  • +3

Applied the code. Does not change the price.

    • +4

You will be asked to confirm your details after you click "Submit Application". At this point, the price will change.

      • +5

I didn't want to submit application in case it charged me the full $25.

Bought it for my Mum. Paid $10. Thanks.

      • they didnt ask me but i did it anyways, should be fine ya?

    • +31

      Username checks out lol

  • Worked for me, just the perfect time to renew my card.

  • +1

Not worth it even if THEY paid ME to join.

    Terrible coffee.

    • +1

At least you've broken even after the free one and the first bogof - then after the card expires you forget how terrible they were by the time the next membership discount rolls around…

(Plus because the discount works on hot chocolates which aren't that bad and I used to regularly take turns buying with a friend every winter)

    • +3

There'a always one every time this is posted here.

      • I wonder why?

        • +2

Well, we live in a nation of high expectations and whingers, so I'm not overly surprised.

        • +1

          @Lorindor:

          Fair enough. Enjoy your coffee.

    • Well boo hoo

    • +1

Was there not enough Rust in your coffee for you?

      • +1

Tasted like there was plenty every time I've been.

  • +4

    Expensive for small portioned meals

  • My local CC always has flies buzzing around in the food display

    • and the CC food is buzzing around in the trash can

Coffee Club membership would ruin my street cred.

    • +19

The fact that you post on OzBargain means any street cred you once might have had is now long gone.

  • I have always wondered this …………..Is Coffee Club actually a proper registered club? that has to feed x amount back to the community and it's members?

    • +21

Nope. It's like Fight Club, but you didn't hear that from me.

  • -1

Hi.. do I have to take free coffee same day?
I mean buy one get one free!! How it works?

    • +5

When you purchase a coffee, they give you a coffee

    • +5

lol its not buy one get one tomorrow

    • +1

You need a friend to come with you, unless you really, really like coffee.

    • +5

buy small, get a small free. = large coffee?

    • +2

Nice try… I like the way you think though.

    • +3

The CC near my work in bris CBD would keep the receipt so you could use your free coffee at a later time,e.g I bought a coffee on a Friday morning, went on 1 week holiday and got my free coffee the Mon I went back to work. I was able to do this at a few in the city when asking.

      • My wife would do similar when she worked near a CC. Pick up one coffee on the way into work, get the second one during her lunch hour.

    • seriosuly? Posting on ozbargain and you don't know how buy one, get one free works.

Your order two coffees…. they swipe your card, you pay for one.

      • +2

        You tell 'em, Jimmy.

        • +1

I live in fear of what the future holds….. Even simple things seem so complex to people these days!

        • +3

          @JimmyF:

I agree. That's why we have average people voting for the Liberals to slash their healthcare, cut their education and reduce their wages.

Critical reasoning is very poor already, let alone the future.

      • Thank you for your reply. Some of my friends already answered what I asked for?
If you have free coffee such as 'BP coffee card' you can have it any time you wish. .

  • There meals are way over priced even with the 10%…..

  • -4

You know the coffee is terrible when they refer to it as "hot beverage" in the terms and conditions. Just in case someone tried to call them out on calling it actual coffee.

    • +10

No, goose, it's so that you can also get 2-for-1 tea, chai, or hot chocolate.

  • +4

Almost every coffee club seems to be always busy. Their food is shite and coffee is average so in all honesty people must go there to get the BOGOF cause the coffee is decent enough to share or else they would go elsewhere.

    TLDR: People are cheap.

    • More money than sense in most cases…

    • +1

Well their stores are in good locations and the fitout is nice.

      • That is true. I saw one of their newer stores and it is a very swish layout. Light and breezy with earthy tones.

Also their hollandaise sauce is crap… just remembered while eating breakfast.

  • +2

Thank you, bought it for my mum

    • -2

      Seems cruel.

  • It's just like those cigarette ads. I thought you would only buy them for people whom you want dead

  • +2

Thank you coprocessor8087 a good find & well done. Renewed the Missus's card, she's happy !

  • Thanks mate, will renew later today. Hot drinks buy one get one free are always nice when going out. Meals are exp though… Think I saw $12.95 for
    crossiant with avo/fillings -_-"

    • +3

I had the avo feta croissant yesterday, and it's excellent value for money compared to any other cafe I've been to. It doesn't sound like much when you just say "avo/fillings". It's actually like bruschetta piled up on an open croissant rather than toast. Plenty of chunks of avo and tomato, crumbed feta, poached egg, balsamic glaze. That would easily be $18 elsewhere.

      • True but I think all cafes are exp however if they didnt charge that much then how would they make there money/employee ppl.

  • +1

Thanks for the tip, mate…just joined for $10

    • -7

      $10 down the drain…

      • +3

No one will buy you with that attitude.

  • Thanks, worked a treat

  • The Springwood BNE store is the best through QLD imho. Very happy to get!! Thx poster!!

  • how much for a coffee

    • Large is like $4.90 isn't it?

      • +2

$4.20/$4.70/$5.20 at my local in regional WA

      • +1

Prices vary by location but it's similar to the competition. They seem to charge me 50 cents extra if I get it in a mug.

    • 1/2 priced if you buy two coffees using this BOGOF membership.

  • +2

thanks OP, my card expired today.

  • Thanks OP just renewed my membership. does anyone know if this works for new membership? just that the first page when joining ask for credit card detail, but i assume on top it still says next stage is confirm details then submit.. anyone confirm it does not charge $25 on the first screen and changes to $10 on confirm details once submit application is applied ?

    • read others posts and u will find out if its confirmed or not :)

  • +2

    they close too early

  • +1

Can you stack the 12 months on an already existing membership? I paid my grandparents cofffee club membership up for a year around 3 or 4 months ago, would love to add this.

    • +1

read sav11's comment below… apparently you can stack them

    • +2

If you renew early, the new card sent has the new expiry date 12 months after your current expiry date. I had this confirmed via email this year.

  • I remember when these VIP memberships were given out at $5. Such a great buy then!

  • -2

Grrr paid the $12.50 in June grrrr

  • +2

Thanks OP. My membership still had a couple of months left, used this to add another 12 months to it.

  • Great deal. Code works. Thanks

  • Great timing, mine expires today

  • Thanks very much for this. Fantastic timing. Much appreciated.

  • I had the membership when it was $5. I got my free coffee but only used the BOGOF once more after that.

    Their coffee was alright.

The best coffee I've had is Mrs Fields. Rich and creamy taste. I love it.

  • Thanks, code works a treat!

  • Thank you, it worked. renewed for my dad :)

  • My nearest CC closed down lol

    • Ditto. Mine (chadstone) closed a couple of weeks after I renewed last year. Nothing else nearby. No CC renewal for me

  • +2

I prefer to continue saving towards my home and drink coffee at home before going to work.

    • +2

      Good for you

    • +1

…but with this, you could get 10% of smashed avocados ..

  • +1

I buy it for my (mum & her best friend) of 44 years who go shopping fortnightly, they love it espically when I personalise it for them, they take their own snack as food is expensive and not enough GF food available, so I hope it extends their membership as not due till end October… Thanks CC…
Just renewed mine got it for $10 and it gave till end of October 2018 well with it.
I get one walking into to do shopping then collect free one leaving. Bonus I say…

  • Why is this getting so many upvotes?

At $25 it's a joke and $10 slightly less of one.

They're hoping that because you've forked out $10 you'll continue to go instead of offering good prices and food as the reason.

This should be free with the same perks. Imagine if a gym charged a membership fee then per use of the equipment.

    • +3

      a bitter competitor?

    • +1

I go there anyway and always buy at least 2 coffees so this is a great offer

    • +1

Coffee is more like electricity. There's a supply charge and a consumption charge.

    • -2

WTF! are you talking about? do you have any idea you Muppet? I consistently save upwards of $300 per year with my VIP card, the food is discounted 10% and buy one hot drink get another FREE, it'll pay itself off in first visit, numb nut!

  • -1

Being in Melbourne, there are so many more options for a better coffee than having to sign up to Coffee Club.

Plus, if you're not with someone at the time, the bogof is pointless.

    • +1

rubbish!, you have no idea, i love my coffees and I find Coffe Club one of the better chains with more consistantly good coffee from any of their franchises .

many indi cafes make crap coffee, it seems to be the luck of the draw.

      • -1

I have no idea? Really? And where is your proof?

Have you actually wandered down Degraves St, or been to Pellegrinis in Melbourne - there are great coffees to be had in Melbourne and it is NOT at the Coffee Club.

Go off the beaten track and avoid these chains, go to independent cafes.

You clearly have tastes buds that only appreciate Nescafe Blend 43,
