Finally the Halo: Reach Noble Map Pack has been made free.
All other DLC for Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo Reach & Halo Wars are still free :)
Only 7 years since it was released ;)

found my copy of Reach at Cashies for a buck.
What?! Which one?
My local still have Xbox 360 prices on par with EB Games (except for MGS HD Collection. That was a steal at $8).
Ringwood, Vic.
Mind you it was in a bin of PS3 and 360 games for a buck. They clear shit pretty frequently too, I grabbed my copy of MGS 4 for 50 cents in it's case and everything a couple years back.
On the whole, there's 3 Cashies' I regularly hit up when I'm in the area.
. Ringwood is decent and most of the last gen (PS3/360) games are 7 or under, most recent pick up was WipEout HD Fury a few months back for 6 bucks. I mostly go there for the PS2 games that people are still apparently trading in. 3 or 4 bucks a pop for some gems, got a copy of Sly 1 for 4 bones a couple years back and was stoked on it.
. Knox is about the same, most recent pick up was the GTA IV complete pack on 360 for 6 bucks about a week before it was announced to be coming to backward compatibility and all of a sudden EB wanted 40 for a new copy.
. Croydon, the closest to me and ironically one I go least are pretty much the same but they have a lot less on the shelf. I did pick up my backward compatible PS3 there late last year for 80 bucks with 2 proper Sony controllers though, (profanity) ripper, works a treat, still play Spidey 2 and Battlefront 2 regularly on it.
Knox did try to up their PS2 prices a while back from the average 3 or 4 bucks to a (profanity) ridiculous 22 for some of them. I'm like, Vice City, Kingdom Hearts 2? Some of the most common shit you'll come across from the PS2 gen and you think they're worth 22 because they're a bit old now? No. … What a shock, they soon realized their bullshit and the prices went back to normal, I'll respect that at least, you tried, failed, and weren't a complete (profanity) about it.
Knox and Ringwood in particular have a fair few current gen games, and a fair few at reasonable prices no less. Back when Dying Light was like a month old I got my copy in there for 20 bucks, thing didn't go on sale for bloody ages.
Wow, not bad. Too bad I live nowhere near Ringwood.
Thanks for the input!
@silverrat23: I've actually had really good Cashies most of the time, thinking about it. I lived in Launceston for a bit under a year back in 2012 and picked up most of my OG Xbox collection. They were all like 4 or 5 bucks, or 5 for 20. Stacked up a pretty nice collection in those months, now you never seem to see OG Xbox games around, or at least I don't.
Do you like collect old games or something?
@mavis30551: God no, I couldn't justify paying the bullshit amounts some games go for. Anything pre-PS1 I just emulate, and even then I have a shitload of emu PS1 and N64 games. I didn't get out of the PS2 gen until Sept 2011, so really I just have a high appreciation of the fifth generation. My modded Wii U and 60gb BC PS3 will testify.
Do people still play this game online?
Some will, the community wouldn't be as big as Halo 3 and it will be mostly enthusiasts left, but you'll be able to find a match.
i forget which one is older…
Order is
Halo 1, 2, 3, Reach, 4, 5.
Reach is still quite active online but only a few playlists.
I do - tho you'll have to put up with lag to american hosts.
Do you happen to know if this content is available for the XB1 versions of Halo (ie. the Halo Master Chief Collection)?
MCC doesn't have Reach so I wouldn't think so as it is a Reach map pack.
You can play Reach with the X360 backwards compatibility mode on XB1
Thanks for that one. Not only for the deal, but for letting me know the other DLC is free also.
Bought the MCC when the great Xbox sales of 2016 started and found my copy of Reach at Cashies for a buck.
Throw some free DLC in the mix and my Halo collection is even better value.
…tbh I still haven't finished Halo 2, let alone the rest, started it in like August too, last year.
Edit: Oh, it's a map pack. I ain't ever gonna pay for Gold, but (profanity) it, free DLC is free DLC.
