Paul McCartney Tickets NIB Stadium Perth - near Front Row Diamond Seats ($409) for Platinum Prices ($246) @ Ticketmaster.com.au

130

I've been monitoring the ticket sales for the upcoming Paul McCartney concert at NIB Stadium in Perth.

Yesterday I noticed that near front row tickets (section A6 which is the most expensive Diamond seating area at $409) are going for Platinum prices (second most expensive at $246). A week or so back there was no tickets available in this section so I think this area has recently opened up.

I managed to get tickets in Section A6 Row B yesterday (second from the front!!!).

Today there are tickets going in section A6 Row E which is only 5 rows from the front. Not bad.

Check out this screen shot for what's available right now.

EDIT: looking at the Ticketmaster website today (18/08/2017), it appears they've downgraded section A6 to Platinum. Still some of the seat locations are close to the front so still good if you want to go anyway, but not as good deal as before. This would also suck for anyone that paid Diamond prices only to be downgraded later.

  • Is this a bargain?

      no

Ridiculously expensive. Not really affordable for a "standard" family

    • Ridiculously expensive.

      What ????

You mean you're not willing to $1,636 for your family of 4 to listen to a couple of Beatles songs??? Wow !!!

    • +2

What you personally can or can't afford is irrelevant.
Getting something for nearly half price is definitely bargain territory.

      • colonic irrigation 1/2 price with. your choice of herbal,or regular ….. not everything is a bargain even at 1/2 price.

        • +2

Math and logic fail. Whether you're into The Beatles, Metallica, Wham or Colonic Irrigation - half price is definitely a bargain IF IT IS FOR SOMETHING YOU LIKE / WANT / NEED.

      • How is this about what I can afford. Seeing g lately nearly daily that average families struggle to pay electricity I am sure over $1000 for a concert is unaffordable for them. People which see everything as a bargain are part of this problem

        • yep buy australian ….. must be some aussie beatles cover artists doing the pubs and clubs…

Is he the guy that covers all those Beatle's songs??

What about Wings songs as well?!?

      • +1

        What about Wings songs

        lol

      • +1

Not to mention songs in his solo albums, e.g Tug of War, Give My Regards to Broad Street, Off the Ground etc

      • Endorsed by Red Bull

Hardly a cover, he was one of the original artists in the band :-)

      • +2

No way. That would make him 75yo.

Incredible isn't it? According to this:

Sir James Paul McCartney, CH, MBE (born 18 June 1942) is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. He gained worldwide fame as the bass guitarist and singer for the rock band the Beatles, widely considered the most popular and influential group in the history of pop music.

        • +2

He can sing "When I'm 64" with some authority then.

        • +1

that makes him younger than cliff richards though paul, looks older …..

        • +1

          @garage sale:

It makes him younger than Ronnie Wood though Ronnie looks way older.

      • next thing you'll be claiming that he wrote most of their songs too.lol

One on one? Doesn't it mean 50,000 on one? Bit different.
And Diamond, Platininum, what a pile of wank! Just call them a, b, c, d.

    • what a pile of wank!

You're confusing them with the back row seats.

      • +1

Possibly. For $246 I'd want to be able to reach out and touch Paul's ringo

        • Legends say that it's bigger than Jebus's.

        • Ah, sold!

  • +6

Still, good seats to see a genuine musical legend.

  • +1

Macca's for $246? Decimal point is 2 places too far to the right.

  • +1

Also, keep in mind that half the ticket value will be flowing through the courts to Paul's ex at some future date. If you're comfy with that enjoy the gig

I think his previous wife was leaning on him for quite a while before she limped out of his life

  • I saw him a few times in the early 1960s when he played with a certain group.

I'll stick with my memories - and my 200CD Beatles collection!

    • +1

Considering they only released a few albums, this collection baffles me.

      • +1

they kept in re- releasing as collections in different combinations, remastered, mother's day gift, white collection, beatles christmas collection, ultimate collection etc so 200 cds could be close

  • I fully preferred Elvis. This 'money grab' tour should be fun though.

  • I'm sure some of the local talent down the RSL are better to hear live now. At 75 he should be paying us to listen to him. lol

  • Bummer got tix for my folks but had to settle for sh*t ones, still cost $180 ea.

  • Hmm, judging by the name of the tour, he wasn't expecting to sell many tickets.
