Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Multifloor $418.20 @ TheGoodGuys eBay C&C (15% off Deal)

120
PGUYS15

Every other model of Dyson's Big Ball got the love recently but the multifloor missed out, and I've been waiting for it to go on sale - And as luck would have it, not only did it drop from $699 to $492 at the Good Guys (a great deal by itself), but they're doing an eBay sale as well. Basically a 40% off deal on Dyson, which it just nuts.

Double dipping isn't enough for me though, and QANTAS just sent me an email to shop via their mall (https://onlinemall.qantaspoints.com/ref/pgmerchModal/mid1565…) and get 1 point per dollar spent (only about $2 worth but I'll take it). I'm sure you can use cashrewards, AMEX and a few other tricks to get even more value out of this deal.

  • For those wondering why this model is so special, it's the ONLY Dyson model to come with a proper multifloor head. So if you have hard floors with rugs, this is the Dyson you want.

    • You can also use them for Ten-pin bowling…

    • i just bought this model - the multifloor tool is pretty bad…
it takes a few swipes forward and backwards to actually get it working from carpet to hardfloor, and vice versa.
      quite annoying actually

I'm actually going to order the Carbon fibre turbine floor tool

I bought the turbine floor tool for my DC29, which originally comes with a very basic head with the manual click up-down brush. The problem with the turbine floor tools is that while very good at carpeted floors, it spins too fast on wooden floors, so that any particles on the floor will be slung away from the head before they get sucked into the hose. It's so bad that I prefer the basic head for wooden floors.

      • I'll trade you my turbine floor tool for your muscle floor tool!

  • How do these passive heads compare to powered heads?

    • If you live with a knitter/sewist, a hell of a lot better… The turbine heads just get clogged up with threads, and they frankly don't work very well on hard floors.

  • Better off getting the Miele C3 Cat & Dog + save $20.

    • De-negged you for your true words of wisdom

        Thank you kind sir

  • got one thanks

  • Fantastic price. Got one from midyear sales from Bing Lee for $470ish, this might be the lowest price since the Myer sales.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one. Now waiting for a turbine head to go on sale.

  • Bought one, thx OP

  • Anyone know where would be cheap to get a carbon turbine head?

    • Wait for the animal model to go on sale? It was on sale for about 3 weeks straight recently… So might be a month or 2 before it goes on sale again.

      • Thought about it. But still a whole $200 more on sale price. The carbon turbine head costs less than $200.

  • Is this model good for allergies and asthma kids? How this model compared with "ELECTROLUX ULTRAFLEX VACUUM CLEANER"? Thanks.

    • It takes the dust out of the carpets, so I guess it's as good as any other vacuum. No idea about the Electrolux.

      • Thanks
