Thanks for the updated link. I tried to checkout with my Amex card, but getting error message that they are unable to process my order and to use another card or contact them. Tried to contact them on the website as phone calls not working at the moment, and wanted to try me to pay via direct deposit.
Will try placing order tomorrow and hopefully it works then.
May be also give AMEX a call and get them to sort it out
Done that. No issue with Amex they say there's no hold on my account and shouldn't be an issue. If there was an issue with Amex, I also shouldn't be seeing two $1 pending charges from Lenovo from the two time I tried to submit payment.
I mean tell them that Lenovo customer support is asking you to make direct deposit while you want to pay with AMEX to benefit from cashback offer
@Jimmy007: Don't think Amex will care about that. I'll try putting the order in tomorrow during a working day. Hopefully, it will go through then. Could be an issue on Lenovo website.
@Jimmy007: Spoke to Lenovo, and that link might be the reason why I could not make a payment with my Amex card. The price they have in their system for the T470s is the normal website $1,549. Oh well just have to wait and hope for a better deal in future.
If anyone managed to place an order with that link, please post and let us know.
@j1568: Try again now, I just placed an order successfully with an Amex card that has the $250 offer for the T470s. Seems to have gone through, received an order confirmation. No confirmation from Amex cashback yet - supposedly the card only gets charged when it's shipped.
@smiley-k: Just tried again with the $1,329.10 price and got the same error. Not sure what's wrong with my card.
@j1568: for the card verification number did you put in the 4 digit code in front of the card rather than 3 digit code at the back of the card? Just double checking. Can't think of anything else that could go wrong.
Barring that, maybe try a separate browser in case some cookies are causing issues.
@smiley-k: I put the 4 digit code. Also tried it on a different computer with no luck. Every time I put the order through I get the error but there is a $1 charge from Lenovo on my card which is just a verification check.

Can I stack this with the Cashrewards 7%? IF I go in via the Cashrewards link then it's a different link and therefore won't work with the posted link?
It won't work with cash rewards due to different link, and I don't even know whether that link will let you check out as I couldn't when I tried to pay with my Amex card and called Lenovo and was told it could be due to that link I used as on their record they only have $1,549 for the T470S and not the price of $1,329.10.
T470s in the link now is different specs and different price.
No amex, what a pity
