Im fairly well full grown adult male, can't grow a beard to save my life but have black facial hair so I look pretty seedy if I don't shave.
Sick of shaving, how much should I spend on electric one? I see prices fluctuate between $30 up to hundreds.

Shaving is a timesink. Beard trimmers/clippers (often on special for much less than $30) are a good compromise if you just want to minimise seediness.
Exfoliating your face with a razor everyday isn't worth it.

Aren't beard trimmers/clippers for cultivating a beard? OP and plenty of others can't actually grow a legit beard so how will beard trimmers help?
Yep. It won't achieve the smooth baby-faced finish but it will look kempt.
When the beard is sparse (e.g. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/29/e5/d2/29e5…) the stubble after trimming may barely be noticeable. It's more of an issue if you're self-conscious of the beard pattern (e.g. growth on only one side of the face).
Cut your face so as to stop regrowth, worked for ancient warriors.
I can only grow the facial hair of a pre-pubescent latino boy. I previously had a philips electric razor but then when we were burgled 10 years ago it was stolen. so I stuck with razors. finally i tired of soap and water razors and I spent the whopping large sum of $13 on an electric razor from aliexpress. it's been going fine for 18 months. I recharge it every month or so.
if I were to buy another electric shaver then I'd probably grab this one (which is currently on sale for US $10.86 /~AU$13.50 delivered and made by Kemei - I have a Kemei electric toothbrush which I paid $12 for and its been travelling fine for 12 months.) link to electric shaver on aliexpress

you'll need an aus plug adapter. superglue it on to the plug. if you buy the razor I'll send you a plug adapter for free.
Dropped $50 on a Remington shaver with one of those little clipper things on the side. Should have got the ball rolling on this earlier but I was starting to look pretty grim and was gonna have to either but new disposables or this and those things are expensive if you don't wanna hack your face up.
Not as good as wet shave but as good as the afternoon after a wet shave and took a tenth of the time.

On side note, they make a lot more mess around the sink. Might do this in the yard in the future.
I have bought many electrics over the years - can't beat a good razor.
