This will get you access to the Play Together update if you want to play with people on Windows 10 edition or the Xbox version too.

Missed it by $0.04. (Rewards balance only shows $1.45 :( )

      Pay 4c by credit card

God damn, it's normally 15 bloody dollars? I know I wouldn't have paid that much for it, I wonder how much I did pay way back when, was it always 15? Oh well.

Anyway, for the super cheapskates, here's a link to the now delisted demo version from many years back. It's actually the only version you can download from the store that has support for the Xperia Play controls so that's cool, anyway https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mojang.min…

Nah, it used to be $8.99. I only noticed it up at $14.99 recently. This sale price makes it worth it!

      I paid 10 cents in December 2011

I'm guessing the page only shows if you previously downloaded it while it was available.
I have an XPeria play from when they had that clearance sale on them and it was something like $25

Best buy it now. It was like 8 bucks for ages then they raised it to $15 when it got out of Alpha. $1.50 is a steal and apparently it will have cross platform play.

  • +9

Had $1.50 of Google Play credit, was meant to be.

  • Had over $10 from surveys.

    Still got around 5.

    Will buy, thanks.

Hey OP, I know it doesn't matter at all but the "Was" price is actually $6.99, not $14.99 as seen here

    • +1

Nah man, I was looking at the top apps list yesterday and can assure you it was $14.99.

      • +1

Oh okay, I just copied the link into web cache, it must've used the US store. My bad!

    • +2

I might be wrong, but the $6.99 might be for the US Play store. Australia Play Store definately was $14.99 last time I checked.

Meh I'll pass, don't know why mine craft seems so boring to me

    • +5

Well its a game to create whatever you can think of.
Just means you have no imagination I guess.

      • -4

Maybe or I'm having enough fun playing forza :p

  • -1

    I have exactly $1.49.

  • How does this compare to the other versions?

  • Cheers OP, bought it. This doesn't give you access to the desktop version too does it, would be a great bonus if it did.

  • Coming up as $8.99?

Edit: Switched to another Google Play account and showed up as $1.49. Thanks OP.

Anyone got any cool servers that they create on.. I would love to see what all this minecraft craze is about.. I have enough dedodaded wam to survur.

  • +1

I remember when it used to be like $4.99 for the full version… Now its $15 lol

Seems to be after every major update (or few) the price goes up by a bit. Best get it while it's $1.50 if you want it, because it is certainly not going to go down from its usual RRP of $15 any time soon. Like sure there may be a deal like this but it won't get much better..

Thanks OP, going to tell/get it for my bro who refuses to cough up $15 for it but wants to play with his friends..

  • I'm on the page from my PC. Where it says "Choose A Device", does it matter what I pick? A random Motorola appears for me because of Bluestacks, but it's all the same game for purchase like iOS, right?

    • +2

the choosing of device does not matter, its just asks you which device you want it to be installed. what i do with free apps is I just pick a device that i dont use and then delete it from the device, just so i own it.

        Thanks mate.

I don't have a real Android device, but this investment might come in handy in my quest to transfer my Java world to Windows 10.

  • As much as this is a good deal for the mobile version, i'd much rather this deal for pc, some accounts for my family when they are old enough to play this, and Pc has Pixelmon which is an amazing Pokemon Overhaul

  • Always wanted to buy this, just to try. Nice find but let me check if I have spare $2 in my account.

  • Update: I did and felt sick after playing for 2-3 mins (maybe I can't do it without a controller). Will apply for a refund now. Great deal thought.

  • Thanks Op, I bought this for my son who had previously wanted it when I think it was $8.99. Recently bought this in Xbox one so he was pretty happy to pick it up for his tablet and will connect his Xbox controller.

  • Game actually works really well with a 8Bitdo NES30 Pro controller. Apparently it has mouse and keyboard support too.

  • Is the pocket version still not the full blown version of Minecraft? (asking as I have it on PC, but might be good to have on mobile if everything is the same)

    • Not quite up to speed with regular Minecraft. It's pretty similar to the Windows 10 Minecraft feature wise, and I'm pretty sure you can still get that for free if you have it on PC anyway.

      • Yeah I got the Windows 10 Minecraft version for free a while ago as well. (Is that what you meant by free, or did you mean the android version?)

        • Yup, that version for Win 10. So not all the features that the old java installed version has. But still pretty good in my opinion.
