FYI not sure if the LG cashback will work as the terms and conditions specifically exclude eBay

If Appliances Online provide an invoice that doesn't specify eBay, it may be ok.

    • The silver version had some info on that here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/321527

I bought the silver version and have had my claim validated and approved. Its just a long wait before they will pay, after the promotion closes.

  • I wonder if you can do a price match locally for the silver version?

    • Doubt you will match the ebay discount.

    • The same fridge is available for the price on their retail website. I still doubt they have a brick and mortar location. But it's worth a try. I've matched with jb HiFi once citing appliancesonline. Showed them their address.

  • Does this fridge have the bootloop issue, or was it just the G4?

    • +3

No bootloop issues but it tends to freeze just as much.

  • This is a great deal for a highly energy efficient fridge.

  • Just wondering, with bottom mount fridges, do you have ice particles going everywhere (on the floor) when you try to pull stuff out from the back?

    • +1

Never had this issue. No ice particles anywhere in sight for a frost free fridge. Take a look at the pics of this fridge, and many other bottom mounts are similar, in the the freezer you put items in large tubs which slide in and out. Any 'ice particles' that you might encounter as you disturb the items as you pull them out would just fall back into the tubs.
