OMG this sounds like the start of a bad joke - 30cm long (non) stick coating coloured exterior you get my drift..

If it is in Bullcreek store it probably was cleared months back elsewhere, it seems to be a bit of a clearance store, like Easter was available more than a month after.

  • There are approximately 30 woks left in the kitchen section.

I have no idea why I found this so hilarious. So I won't even try haha
Also I hate to rain on your parade, but how good can we expect this quality to be if it was only $8 in the first place?

    • I destroyed the first two cheap works I bought since I don't like using Alot of oil in my cooking.
This time I'm going to season the wok properly. https://www.webstaurantstore.com/article/106/how-to-season-a…

Hope someone here can provide advice

I'm doing up the second toilet at the moment and looking for an inexpensive freestanding sink. this could be cheap and novel solution.

      You win OzBargain

    • This will rust. You want stainless steel not carbon steel.

  • I was there on Sunday and saw them all. Would have got one but i have a ceramic goddamn cooktop

    • All Hobs Friendly?

      • Were they cos the quick glance I took didn't say anything about ceramic. I could be wrong though as my glance was quicker than Usain Bolt three years ago in his prime.

  • If its carbon steel on its own it would be pretty good, but all the cheap ones have the non stick coating thats generally rubbish over time. Stainless steel best! She still uses her one from 30 years ago.

I thought all steel were made from Iron and Carbon.

  • Can I use this to cook on top of a pyramid?

    • +5

No, but you can wok like an Egyptian

  • I think I tried one of them on my induction cooktop, and it didn't work properly.

    • Are these woks which have curved bases? If it is, then I can imagine it not working on induction…

      • No it had a flat base. I can't remember exactly what went wrong now, though.

  • round or flat bottom?

    • flat bottom

  • BGood old Bull Creek Targét FTW! Hopefully they have some left, Carousel were all sold out. The replacement model is $12 so this is a great deal.
