can you just book a one way flight and get the voucher? Cheapest one way flight i could find in my short search is $43 from syd to melb in Aug next year. Not bad if you get the voucher for a one way flight and need accommodation now-ish and might use the flight.
Oops just re-read the terms and I take back some of what i said. Didn't realise the voucher is for the wotif.com accommodation site, which charges $5 for a booking. In other words you pay $17 booking fee for the flight, and $5 for the hotel, so you end up $28 ahead if you're planning on using both.
wotif charge a $17 "booking fee" so seeing as they'd tie you back to using them for the second booking with the voucher, this work's out only to be worth approx $16, ie ($50 - ($17 + $17)). Not knocking you for finding the deal, just that wotif aren't very honest with their $50 voucher offer if you look more closely at their charges.
