Click on make reservation tab.. put in dates.. guests etc… then youll see the the promo code field.. click on the promo/corporate field and add OHM2017.. the click on add… just tried it on the dates you want and it works.. when its all done and dusted youll see the reduced rate.. OHM stands for "open house Melbourne"
where is says traditional .. delux .. Superior.. dont click book… you gotta click make reservation otherwise promo code wont work

I've found on two occasions that on the first Wednesday of the month, you can get 30% or 40% off the Traditional/Standard Room rate if you book on Expedia. I booked a Traditional Room for early October in June for less than $250 for two nights thanks to Expedia's 40% off sale and the 10% off AMEX code!
If my theory is right, then on Wednesday, September 6 there ought to be a sale on Expedia? 🤔 Happy to be proven wrong though :)
As a $$$ hotel I'm wondering as just a place to stay why people don't just use airbnb? Other than for room service, the valet and all that jazz? Has never traveled If you're going to stay at $$$ place wouldn't you just not leave the room and make the most of it?
Because I like staying in hotels and having fresh towels daily and having my toilet paper folded into a triangle and pilfering toiletries plus I normally stay at cheap hotels but jumped when I saw the 40% offer.
If I wanted to Airbnb by myself in Melbourne, I'd just stay at home in Sydney instead.

@anastasiastarz: At The Great Southern Hotel in Melbourne, yep. They fold the end into a triangle! Well they make it pointy at the end.
Code works! however 20% discount still steep compare to booking with orbitz using their current 15% promo code. It really pays to compare different accommodation booking sites :-)
