I've tried Soft Gel Clear Transparent Case Cover For Motorola Moto G5 | G5 Plus for $4.35 but it doesn't protect the camera - it protrudes past the case. So it had a 60 day refund which I'm taking advantage of along with Paypal Refunds which means I'm not out of pocket.
So any recommendations?

it's cheaper than what I paid for it. not from tandy though, that was the 4th link on google.
I have a Ringke Fusion case. Is transparent. Camera is protected well as is the rest of the phone. Is not too big, seems sturdy and has good grip.
