KitchenAid Artisan 2 Slice Toaster KMT223 Empire Red - $74.88 Shipped (RRP $229) @ Your Home Depot

230

I know some of you might consider this to much for a toaster, but for those of you looking for one with all the bells and whistles or this particular model, its a good price. At $64.98, it's less than half the price I've seen it for from other retailers like Good Guys @$189 or Harvey Norman @$199. Postage will set you back an additional $9.90 or free with orders over $100.

Artisan Two Slice Toaster features:
•Made from die-cast metal with a steel interior.
•Once cooked, toast remains inside the toaster so it stays warm until it’s manually released.
•Oversized slots allow you to toast thick bread or bagels effortlessly.
•Blue digital LCD display with countdown bar remembers the last function.
•One touch control raises and lowers bread on demand.
•Dial shade control for precise toasting.
•Features crumpet, defrost and keep warm functions.
•Space-saving design - power cord stores within base.

    B28?

Doesn't look like it. No ac WiFi or bluetooth either. No user profiles and only remembers last function. Pfft.

Jokes aside it looks like a good price if you want one of these in particular.

      • Not true, it does require ac. 240 of them, in fact.

Good price, but this would be annoying:

Once cooked, toast remains inside the toaster so it stays warm until it’s manually released.

Why? Sounds like a good feature.

      • +6

More like a gimmick, I've never had an issue with cold toast and it's an extra button to press.

    • +2

No, it doesn't only if you pressed "keep warm" button.

  • I got my missus a blue mixer mini and said over the next decade I'll convert her kitchen to only KA products as the existing products break and bargains come up.
Since she wants all the same colour are we screwed since blue is rarely available?

    • +2

Maybe your credit card has a refund policy on your missus?

Yep. I've never seen a blue KitchenAid toaster ever in Australia (only red, silver, cream and black. Oh and white)

Apparently it exists though judging by my Googling

      • Cheers, hopefully they'll reach Aus soon enough.

I don't think you'll have much luck to be honest if you were hoping to drop by Myer or DJs and pick up a blue KichenAid toaster. What you could try and do is ask the KitchenAid Australia and New Zealand facebook page whether they plan to have blue toasters on the market or if they have blue toasters for you to purchase.

Breville do a blue toaster in Blueberry Granita (I think it's called that) but obviously it won't match your KitchenAid mixer. Unless you buy a Breville mixer in Blueberry Granita …

  • damn out of stock already

Wow out of stock quick, but then $120 doesn't much in the top end toasters ……

only down side is no wide slots for hipster bread.

My breville actually has slots wide enough to take a four'n' twenty pie, so microwave pie to thaw out and warn up, and crispen for 3 minutes in toaster…… 6 minutes from freezer to crispy pie.

Bought myself 2… not that I need 2. Great Christmas presents.
